reasonable and customer oriented stuffPosted Oct 14, 2014
during our stay at the hotel we faced some minor issues related to the late booking of our room and the possibility to delays and higher prices arise, but the manager solved the inconvenient with a better room and better services at no cost caused by the fact that the late booking is a infrastructure problem and has nothing to deal with the customer. Optimal treatment.

Nice hotel close to all facilitiesPosted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: Great location and friendly staff.
Cons: Perhaps a few extra hot items for breakfast.
Location: Fantastic location on the sea front. Handy for buses and taxis, and the swimming off the rocks is safe and just over the road.
Sliema Chalet hotel is very conveniently located on the promenade at Ghar id dud, Sliema. It is right opposite the bus stops and taxi rank. Only 100 yds. from the beach clubs at Sliema pitch and the Preluna. These cost extra (not to the hotel), but you can also go onto the rocks for safe bathing at no extra cost. Staff were polite and helpful, particularly when a plumbing fault occurred and it was fixed within the day. Room had adequate space and was clean. The sea view from the balcony is amazing. Typical continental breakfast, with hot scrambled and boiled eggs, plus hot sausages as well .Excellent value and I recommend this hotel.

Week in SliemaPosted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: Location and Balcony
Cons: Room updates
Location: Great location
The hotel is very basic but clean, staff is helpful and pleasant. If you do have a car there is no parking available so you might have to go around the block a few times to find a spot. If you are staying in this hotel make sure you get a balcony it is well worth. the location is excellent bus stops are in front of the hotel for both directions. Restaurants are abundant in the area, swimming is across the street if you don't mind rocks. Over all a good stay.

No frills but large, clean and friendlyPosted May 24, 2014
Pros: Large clean rooms. Friendly staff
Cons: Water pressure in the 7th floor shower was very low.
Location: Place called Bubbles get fish to nibble the dead skin off your feet. Called a fish pedicure. Maltese Soap Cafe in St Mary St makes great soap and tea
I found the place to be a good base for exploring. It was clean, quiet and close to the hub of Sliema. The free WI-FI was a life saver. It was supposed to be only accessible from the common room but I was able to barely access it from room 777 which was next to it. The problem with this room is that the water pressure in the shower is pathetic. I think the pressure on the lower floors is good though but since I didn't stay in them I can't guarantee it. Overall I would recommend it if you are on a budget. If you book it online they give you a better price. Not great but not bad.

Nice budget hotel in SliemaPosted May 6, 2014
The Sliema Chalet hotel is a nice budget hotel. I had a sea view room on the third floor. It was equipped with two single beds and a balcony with windows opening out on tower road. It was fairly quiet at night, but you are often at the mercy of cars with tricked out radios. Beds were older, but comfortable enough. Bathroom was clean and shower worked. TV didn't work (often you have to pay to watch TV in budget hotels in Malta). WiFi was available and free in a lounge on the top floor. I did not utilize their breakfast facilities as there are plenty of places to get Pastizzi or other foods close by. I spent most of my waking hours outside of the hotel, but when I came back to crash, I was able to rest comfortably and get refreshed. Overall, this is a good place for active travelers. If you're looking for a posh resort, there are other options.

Super Convenient and nice viewPosted Apr 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
Hotel room could have been cleaner, not bad for the price, great view. Bus stop literally right outside the door, so super easy to get to/from airport and to/from the sites. Got a balcony view, quite nice for the little time spent in the room, nice to be able to open the door and get fresh air inside the room.

A Pleasant budget hotelPosted Mar 18, 2014
Pros: Well situated on the seafront, with clean and comfortable rooms. Fairly good unrestricted car parking possibilities on the nearby streets.
Cons: The TV sets urgently need upgrading, and to have a far wider range of tv channels available.
Location: Sliema is not the most exciting place in Malta, but is very conveniently placed for the short ferry trip across to Valetta, with plenty of local shops
Chalet Hotel is a fairly simple, but comfortable establishment, well situated on the seafront at Sliema. We stayed in rear facing rooms which look out over the courtyard, with no view, but the more expensive, front balcony rooms with a view over the sea, would in retrospect, have been worth the higher price! Our rooms were clean and comfortable, although very basic. The tv sets were antiquated, with only a very limited range of satellite channels available, and a zapper only available on a deposit. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was included in our package, and was a fairly good self-service buffet, with a reasonable range of items available. Overall, it was excellent value for money, as part of what was a very cheap package deal!

Good central hotel to all aresPosted Jan 12, 2014
Pros: As above
Cons: Silencing devices on room doors and cleaning staff!
Location: It is a central hotel to the Island and if you get the buses you can go any where and get back to the hotel.
The staff let you get on with your holiday, helpful when required but did not bother you.
