Great self-catering place to stay-friendly + quietPosted Mar 2, 2014
Pros: Location - friendliness of staff - clean
Cons: The beds were too hard for our liking, but that's a personal issue.Under the mattresses it was a hardboard base -have found the same elsewhere in Malta
Location: In a very quiet street, no passing traffic. Short walk down to bus station and used buses to travel all over the island (Euro 6.50 -7 day bus pass - w
Thoroughly enjoyed staying here, and hope to return for longer next year. It was our 1st stay and it suited us well. The staff were very friendly + helpful. Although we were just a couple, we were allocated a large 3 bed apartment, as it was a late booking, only 1 month before going.Requested an upper floor, seaview - they tried their best, with 3rd floor, but front of hotel view, facing south-east, Room 306 - so no sea view. We had a couple of issues with facilities within the apartment, but when reported they were dealt with immediately, so was happy with the service we received. There's a small bar/lounge area with TV, which we used only a couple of times - useful to see world news on TV as we didn't pay the extra to use the one in the apartment.

Budget friendly accomadationPosted Jul 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very nice stay. Great location. Very close to bars and restaurants. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Spacious appartment. The only small problem we had was the air con unit wasnt very effective and rattled a lot when on high mode. Found it quite hard to sleep one or 2 nights as it was over 34 degrees those days. The fan in the room was good though. Staff organised a taxi for us and the manager said goodbye to us which was a nice thing to do as some people wouldn't bother. Overall had a very nice stay and were very satisfied with everything.

convenient for usPosted Jun 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
Second visit to Malta (previously stayed in Sliema) so wanted a different location this time & we found Bugibba to be a good choice for us. It was over 1 hr to Valletta (but #12 very scenic route), but closer to Mdina, Mosta, ferry to Gozo, & is less crowded than Sliema. This property is on a very quiet street, with bus terminus a short walk away, good choice of eateries & shops nearby. It is a family run business--very friendly, helpful & accommodating, & front desk is 24hrs. We were several couples & all our rooms were different in layout. Rooftop pool is a lovely area--with view. One main negative was the late night noise from the hotel bar--there are rooms immediately above it (1 of our group asked to move, but if all rooms are booked, then that would be bad luck). Of course depends whether patrons at the time would be noisy, but odds are a late night in the bar would raise the noise level beyond a satisfactory level. See tripadvisor for more info.

Excellent valuePosted Apr 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
We felt that the Sun seeker complex was excellent value for money. Our room was clean, modern and well furnished. In addition to a bar and small shop it also has a roof top pool and sunbathing area which was a great place to chill out for an hour or two as well as affording some superb views of St. Paul's bay. The staff were always friendly and helpful. We'd be happy to stay there again

good value for money, pity about the touts outsidePosted Apr 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
Nice people, helpful and polite. Loved Malta and Gozo. The one thing they could have advised us on is concerning the timeshare touts. We walked out of the hotel on our first morning and were leapt upon like sitting ducks. If I were on reception, I would have waved the new customers farewell with the warning, 'You will undoubtedly run the gauntlet of touts who will put pressure on you to do whatever. Be polite but firm and don't enter into any conversation or listen to any advice because that is where the moral pressure comes from.

Great hotel for travellersPosted Jan 23, 2013
It is the best you can get for the price. Good location, parking. Nice to have your own kitchenette to be able to make your coffee the way you like it. The staff is very polite and helpful. I would certainly recommend it to everyone who is looking for something comfortable and not very pricey.

Super convenient with high cleanliness standardsPosted Apr 17, 2012 on Hotels.com
The Sunseeker is family-run so the building is well-maintained, as one would do with your own home. The rooms are very clean and well-kept, and we found ours perfectly comfortable. We had both heat and air-con and needed neither during our early April stay. The shower had plenty of pressure and lots of hot water. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook yourselves. We had a nice partial view of the sea from our balcony, which had a mixture of sunshine and shade, depending on what you wanted to sit out in. The location is superb - between lively Bugibba Square and the main bus station, but the building itself and immediately surrounding area is lovely and quiet. Getting on the bus before everyone else is most helpful to get a seat! The Maltese are friendly and Malta is an interesting place, and the Sunseeker is an excellent base to explore from. Highly recommended.

Sunseeker Holiday ComplexPosted Nov 10, 2011 on Hotels.com
This is our second time staying at Sunseekers and we would highly recommend it. It is a very clean well run hotel. The staff were very welcoming and the rooms were very comfortable. With a pool and snack bar on the roof and a mini market, indoor pool and Jacuzzi and sauna in the basement, There is plenty to do. As I am disabled I found it easy to get around the hotel in my wheelchair is the two lifts and received lots of help from the staff. Will certainly be going back again, great value for money.
