Beautiful hotelPosted Jun 2, 2014
Went for a four day quick break. Hotel beautiful, staff couldn't be more courteous or helpful, nothing too much for them. As for the bells that some complain about; don,t worry, they only add to the experience and anyway they've been there many hundreds of years longer than the hotel, enjoy their history. If you can't then close the balcony doors, absolutely no noise, and air conditioning. Sorted!

2nd Stay in 2 Years & still as good!Posted May 18, 2014
Pros: There is nothing to dislike about this hotel, unless you are looking for a hotel with entertainment, as this doesn't have any and can be too quiet.
Cons: Showers not powerful enough! Service in Talk of the Town was very slow in the Evening. Perhaps some low key entertainment on some evenings.
Location: Location is really good. It takes about 10 mins to walk to Sliema Waterfront, to shops & to water taxi to Valletta (€2.80) return.
A lovely hotel, near to everything in Sliema, including boat taxi to Valletta. The hotel is used by holiday makers, people looking for a short break and also business people for meetings, conferences etc. Restaurants are of good quality, especially Talk of the Town & TemptAsian, which both have indoor/outdoor areas for eating/drinking. Indian Wednesday was really good in TemptAsian €25 set menu, including half bottle of wine & water. Fantastic food & service. We had a great room (649) on sixth floor, with a very large terrace balcony, which had amazing views over to Valletta & included sunbeds aswell as chairs/tables. The room was huge and included mini-bar, TV, very large wardrobe space, but instead of drawer space had low shelves for flat clothing, Room Safe, Kettle for Tea/Coffee sachets provided. UK plugs, so need for adapters. A very large comfortable bed & very large bathroom, including bath with handheld shower spray over & an enclosed shower cubicle (but that shower wasn't that powerful unfortunately) Sink Area had lots of space, as it had shelves underneath for toiletries etc & powerful Hairdryer/shaver plug. Shower Gel, Soap, Body Lotion were provided, along with shower caps, cotton wool, shaving kits, toothbrush kits. We only stayed Room Only, but there are stays for Bed/Breakfast, but Breakfast is really expensive per person.

Nice hotel, close to the harbour.Posted Apr 30, 2014
Pros: Great location, parking available for 2 Euros per day, very nice and helpful Staff, comfortable rooms, very high level of service
Cons: Every day we had different cleaner what was a bit confusing, it would be better if we had designed cleaner what the management pretend to provide
Location: The hotel is located very close to the High Street, there are 2 supermarkets nearby and a lot of restaurants and bars around.
It was a bit difficult to find the hotel even with sat-nav! There was a mistake in our booking what caused a delay. We had to wait for the rooms about 45 min at reception but all was sorted out and waiting we were offered the coffee or other beverage. Our room was comfortable, bed was huge even bigger than king size! The mattress is very soft, linen as well. The rooms from the 3rd floor to the 7th floor have got balconies and some of them have got a view for Valetta's harbour. There are 2 pools : one on the roof and second on the 7th floor. They are pretty small and highly occupied by parents with children from the morning to the evening. Forget about chill out! The same about a gym, we saw children playing there. There is big variety of food served for a breakfast ,Scandinavian table. Overall it was very pleasant stay.

Very modern hotel in the back streets of SliemaPosted Mar 26, 2014
Pros: Central and fairly quiet location.
Cons: Bedrooms could do with more furnishings. It seemed more suitable for business type functions.
Location: Easy to stroll to both the Sliema Strand and Tower Road areas. It's worth taking a harbour cruise, Luzzu Cruises seem to be the best.
This is a very modern hotel ideally situated for Sliema Strand and Tower Road seafront areas. It's also only a short walk into the shopping areas. You do need to have a room on the upper floors to escape the noise of the church bells. Ours was 564 and had a balcony with lovely views over the rooftops and Valletta. Being in the backstreets we found it difficult initially to find as we had hired a car from the airport. The bedroom was quite spartan being furnished in a minimalist style, not very homely. The evening meals in The Tabloid restaurant were buffet and were disappointing as the food was cold. The breakfast was similarly buffet but was better. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Don't leave you car out front as you WILL get a ticket!!

Super time at "The Palace!"Posted Mar 24, 2014
Location: "The Palace" is in an ideal situation. The bus service is brilliant now. Only 6.25 euros for a week's pass to go anywhere in Malta!
My husband and I spent a week at "The Palace" and had a wonderfully relaxing time. There was nothing to complain about and the staff were extremely professional and pleasant. The staff at breakfast who always had a smile on their faces and a warm welcome plus the choice of top quality food made it a very pleasant start to our days. Our room was perfect and the housekeepers kept it well tended for us.The reception staff gave us a very warm welcome on our arrival also very helpful with any queries throughout the week. We spent our last evening in the "Pan Asian" restaurant although expensive, we felt it was value for money, the staff and meal in such a wonderful restaurant gave us the most perfect ending to our holiday. A BIG THANK YOU to you all. Keep up the good work and KEEP SMILING!!!!!!!

Central locationPosted Mar 7, 2014
Pros: A friendly environment with helpful people who were also courteous and efficient.
Location: Sliema is convenient for Valetta and has a good waterfront with gardens and quiet places to sit and relax. Good bus service to other areas of Malta.
A modern hotel in a convenient location. Easy acces to the waterfront and ferry to Valletta. Ferry to Valletta is much quicker than the bus. Carnival in Valletta was colourful and vibrant. Malta is full of history and interesting sights. The Malta pass was good value for money. Transfer from and to the airport was efficient and on time.
