Great location in Malta

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Central location and access to Mediterranean
Cons: I can't think of anything that was a negative impact on our stay.
Location: 1. trip to Valletta, 2. dining, 3. water activities, 4. casino, 5. Paceville to shop or party. 6. trip to the blue lagoon (Comino)
Hotel sits on its own peninsula. Multitude of staff geared to serve. Easy access by taxi or bus to Valletta. 5 minute walk to Paceville (shopping and party center of Malta). Resort can be used as an all-inclusive or as a hub to cover the isle of Malta and Comino and Gozo.

An excellent week

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: The 'beach' by the sea (with no children allowed). The smart yet casual ambience. The helpful and friendly staff. The location.
Cons: Free Wifi provision everywhere.
Location: Hop-on/hop-off buses to explore the island, and Gozo, from just outside the hotel. Valletta has so much to see, do, and explore. Boat trips.
We chose to holiday at the Westin Dragonara because we had been invited to a significant birthday party at the Beduoin Bar - and what an excellent choice we made! The hotel was clean, comfortable, well appointed and friendly. We were spoilt for choice of where to eat and drink, and even where to sunbathe and swim! As we had chosen to stay in an executive room, we made good use of the complimentary cocktails and canap├ęs every evening in the Executive lounge, sitting on the tranquil balcony overlooking the sea, and relished having our breakfast in the same peaceful, air conditioned comfort each morning. Two small points rendered Westin less than perfect; the noisy air conditioning in the bedroom and the lack of free Wifi in the room. The last point seems like petty meanness as free wifi is available, an hour at a time, throughout reception and some (but not all) of the restaurants. I think it is the one aspect that spoils what is otherwise a perfect holiday destination.

The perfect place to stay in Malta

Posted Jul 11, 2014
The Dragonara exceeded our expectations in every way. Beautiful scenery, close to cafes and shops in St Julians, right on the coast with a pool and lido with a safe bay for swimming. The hotel staff were friendly, particularly Aaron on reception, John at the lobby bar, Julia and the chef who made a fresh batch of pastizzi for our daughter. Darren at the water sports was also friendly and helpful. Only suggestion is to stop over bath shower flooding the floor.

Overall satisfied

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Good overall. Housekeeping quality differed depending on a person, but this is the case at any hotel and not a big deal. Initially only two bathrobes and bottles of water were provided even though the hotel was aware that three people stayed the room and charged accordingly. It costs to access internet even if you are using business center at the hotel. This wasn't very cool. Also, it costs 3 euros more per person if you don't pre-purchase breakfast.... Although I'm happy with my stay I'll probably try another hotel next time.

Beautiful location

Posted May 18, 2014
Pros: Location, old historical building renovated with great style , nice outlay of facilities
Cons: Menu on the restaurant that was open inside the hotel itself ( lobby bar ) was very limited and quality average. Acces to local public bus services.
Location: easy walk to nearby restaurants, Spinola Bay . bus service to Valletta and surroundings
We had a wonderful stay at this very nice hotel. Service friendly and effectively. There was a lot of wind during our stay which means that we could not use the bathing facilities, but this did not matter as there were plenty of other things to do and see in Malta.

Lovely location near sea

Posted Apr 18, 2014
We stayed for a week at the Dragonara hotel. We were really pleased with the hotel facilities. We stayed in the luxury suite.Since we went in the beginning of the season, there was not much crowd and we could enjoy a relaxing time in the beach huts with stunning views of the sea.
