Nice hotel in the centre of St Julian'sPosted Aug 15, 2014
Nice hotel. Not as luxurious as some 5 star hotels I have stead at. Staff were quite attentive. It's a real shame the internet was not complimentary in the room. Pools were great. Our 2 kids aged 6 and 9 loved it. Paulio's Restaurant was very nice although I was told it was full when we went initially only to find out this was not the case.

Nice Hotel but didn't start well!Posted Aug 3, 2014
Pros: The waiting staff
Cons: The hotels location wasn't the best, Room allocation and price of breakfast.
Location: The hotel is within walking distance of the local bars, clubs and restaurants. the hotel has water sports on site
Didn't start well, arrived and was impressed with the hotel but was allocated a room overlooking the car park? After we quickly complained we were moved, however the booking clearly stated SV but the reception staff didn't go overboard and apologize or offer anything for the mistake..... got the feeling this happens a lot as someone else was complaining when we got down to reception. We felt the hotel was not interested unless you were a VIP or paid for an executive room etc. After sorting out the room fiasco the room was good, great view of the sea, large, clean and spacious. The waiting staff were really nice and professional and overall we had a pleasant holiday.

Excellent Hotel located in the St Julians areaPosted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: The facilities for all age groups including the three pools and very easy access to the sea made it great for us water lovers.
Cons: Nothing that comes to mind
Location: Excellent location if you are young and want to be close to the clubs and party scene.
My wife and my daughter and her friend had a wonderful experience in Malta. The Westin Dragonara had all the facilities we could have hoped for and more!!! Located in the bustling part of St Julians and provided great access to all parts of Malta and Gozo. All the staff made our stay worry free and were relaxed but professional at all times. Well done Westin Dragonara and all who work in the hotel.

Pay attentionPosted Jul 29, 2014
Although it wasn't completely terrible, we booked this hotel because was showing private beach and kids room... The private beach is not suitable for children it's more of a bay, there is no sand and the kids room you'll have to pay and you can't use freely. At night loud music until late, pool bar closed at 5pm, and not enough staff... The pool area was quite dirty, this is not a 5🌟 hotel. The neighbourhood is loud and full of tourist madness, I would avoid completely.

Great location in MaltaPosted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Central location and access to Mediterranean
Cons: I can't think of anything that was a negative impact on our stay.
Location: 1. trip to Valletta, 2. dining, 3. water activities, 4. casino, 5. Paceville to shop or party. 6. trip to the blue lagoon (Comino)
Hotel sits on its own peninsula. Multitude of staff geared to serve. Easy access by taxi or bus to Valletta. 5 minute walk to Paceville (shopping and party center of Malta). Resort can be used as an all-inclusive or as a hub to cover the isle of Malta and Comino and Gozo.

An excellent weekPosted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: The 'beach' by the sea (with no children allowed). The smart yet casual ambience. The helpful and friendly staff. The location.
Cons: Free Wifi provision everywhere.
Location: Hop-on/hop-off buses to explore the island, and Gozo, from just outside the hotel. Valletta has so much to see, do, and explore. Boat trips.
We chose to holiday at the Westin Dragonara because we had been invited to a significant birthday party at the Beduoin Bar - and what an excellent choice we made! The hotel was clean, comfortable, well appointed and friendly. We were spoilt for choice of where to eat and drink, and even where to sunbathe and swim! As we had chosen to stay in an executive room, we made good use of the complimentary cocktails and canapés every evening in the Executive lounge, sitting on the tranquil balcony overlooking the sea, and relished having our breakfast in the same peaceful, air conditioned comfort each morning. Two small points rendered Westin less than perfect; the noisy air conditioning in the bedroom and the lack of free Wifi in the room. The last point seems like petty meanness as free wifi is available, an hour at a time, throughout reception and some (but not all) of the restaurants. I think it is the one aspect that spoils what is otherwise a perfect holiday destination.
