Fair, shame about the showerPosted Oct 27, 2013
Pros: Nice staff
Cons: spruce up tired fittings A shower that works!
It was the only room we could get on that date. We had the twin room, which was adequate and we knew what we had booked. The room was clean and the beds quite comfortable, if a little tired. We knew the bathroom was across the hall, which was fine, again it was clean. However it was the most pathetic shower I have ever had. Definately not suitable for washing hair, unless it's a crew cut. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Great welcome, lovely stay, shame about the showerPosted Oct 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay (4 cyclists).Very friendly, good beers, great breakfast, comfortable beds.Just a shame the shower was in need of improvement and was so weak we could have had a better shower from my son's leaky gutters. Didn't spoil the night though, and I would recommend the pub.

Friendly local inn near Castle Howard and moorsPosted Aug 15, 2012 on Hotels.com
Friendly staff, no frills inn but all we could ask for for an overnight stay. Clean room. Excellent breakfast. Private bathroom but not ensuite, over the corridor. Close to North Yorkshire Moors and Castle Howard. Generally very good value.

Very basic accommodation, even for a budget hotelPosted Jun 26, 2012
Cons: Dodgy electrical sockets, minuscule bathroom, non-lined curtains
Location: About a mile from Malton town centre on the main road to Pickering
Looks lovely from the outside and there is plenty of parking but the interior is tired and drab and the rooms are very basic and poorly maintained. Breakfast wasn't bad but next time I will stay elsewhere.

very nice ! simple and cleanPosted Jun 21, 2012 on Hotels.com
It was very nice a couple of issues no tea cups when we arrived and trouble getting on wifi but nothing major. Overall it was lovely- room was clean and comfortable. Restuarant food was nice, good choice on the menu. Choice of lager was limited though.
