Simply, for a skier, it's location, location, location: Easiest access to the slopes at Mammoth. Just park the car, and everything is within walking distance. And there's a great hot tub for after all the skiing!

My stay was really nice. Location is a huge perk (Gondola right across the street and village shops/restaurants). I think the location pays for itself. The room was very clean and spacious. The building is a bit outdated and some of the amenities could be improved. (For ex: I think they could provide better quality soaps/shampoo, microwaves in room, etc., but not that big of a deal). In addition, they do not offer room service (just towel replacement and trash removal), which is an area I think could be improved.

Check in was horrible. Guy behind the glass barely said two words and was very irritable. I guess he forgot he was in the hospitality business. Toilet bowl was dirty on arrival. Room was full of dust and when the sun shined in it looked liked it was a blizzard of fine dust particles. Guess I got what I paid for

Oh my gosh! It was such a quaint stay and the front desk was so pleasant and nice! They really make you feel at home! The gondola is right across the street and downstairs of the hotel they have laundry machines, a sauna and hot tub, and the bar/restaurant can be accessed that way as well as from the outside entrance. We really enjoyed our stay so much! Definitely 10/10 recommended!

Nice stay
Customer service was wonderful. Location in town is great. We were upgraded to a nice large room. Bed was comfortable and nice bathroom. Lighting in the living area was poor and couch had seen better days. However, we did really enjoy our stay.

Great Getaway Homebase
This is an especially accommodating hotel. We showed up a night early (unknowingly) and the team took care of us. They got us a room and moved some things around to make it so we didn't have to check out and check back in hours later. The staff was extremely friendly, the location is ideal, and the bar in the basement is a great time. Will 100% be back next year.

Most of the basics are met though this is a dated facility. It’s rough around the edges but provides a night’s rest in a clean environment. WiFi was substandard. Slow one night and constantly cutting out the second. Nowhere to plug in devices close to the bed so instead of laying in bed, catching up on things after long days of hiking, picture me soon the floor, back against the wall. And finally, the mattress was one of those that sags on the edges where years if people sitting on the edge has taken a toll. One person can sleep fine in the middle. Two might not be so happy. I wasn’t overly unhappy given that to get better facilities in Mammoth is going to cost far more.

Great walkable location to restaurants and village. Nice bar on property for a nightcap. Hot tub was down for a day which was disappointing but didn’t ruin our stay.

Minor complaints - the heat blew too hot even when on 50 degrees; the mattress had deep depressions and thus tilted heavily towards one side (from use), and there was one male person here who was slightly rude to me. Pros: Everything. Despite the depressions and tilting in the bed, the mattress was firm -- something rare to find in a hotel. I got an upgrade and was given a large private cabin at no additional cost! The coffee service is awesome - Keurig and cookies, every day. Parking is easy and this place has the best location - directly across the street from the Village. The rest of the staff - Adam and Martha - excellent human beings who went above and beyond to deliver things to my room in the rain or explain things to me in detail, or warn me about flooded roads. 9.3/10!

Very good 5 day stay. Within walking distance of Bluesapalooza music fest. Decent price. Good amenities. Comfortable bed. Clean and quiet in a scenic setting. Free WiFi and parking.
