Nice bed & breakfast with great staffs

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: Clean room and "cook to order" breakfast!!
Cons: In-room wifi service.
Location: We visit the area to see the fall foliage.
The deco of the hotel is country like and is very "homie". The staffs are very friendly but there is no attendant after 7PM. My room has a recently remodeled bathroom. Not sure if the other rooms are the same. There is no in-room wifi. We were told that wifi is available at lobby but we didn't verity it.

Plain on the outside, beautiful inside.

Looks are receiving. The inn operates more like a B&B. The rooms are well appointed and warm. The breakfast is hot and home cooked. The manager Rudy and his wife are great.

Quaint Mom & Pop feeling place

Pros: It was cute and the breakfast service was great.
Cons: More accessible staff by phone
Location: We went to a wedding in June Lake. It was gorgeous.
We were coming a long distance for a wedding. The journey took much longer than expected so we didn't have a chance to check in before the wedding started. We were eventually able to get ahold of them by phone and arranged a way to get the keys to our rooms. When we arrived we found the keys but were unable to get into one of the two rooms we booked. The key just wouldn't work, we tried for a good 5 minutes. We tried the phone outside the office twice and were unable to get ahold of anyone. We thought we'd try again later when we came back from visiting the wedding after party. Upon re-arrival at the hotel there was a bear fairly close (200 feet or so) to our room and the hotel office. Driving up we startled him from his dumpster dive and he ran away. He seemed to go back to the trash after a short amount of time so we quietly and quickly made our way to our room. Although the bear seemed content with his feast, we decided not to try the office phone again as it was outside and a little ways from the hotel room. If we had been staying in the set of rooms that were detached from the office the bear would have only been 20-30 feet away. They were kind enough to refund us for the room we couldn't access. They told us that they tried calling the after hours phone back a couple minutes after we called. We just didn't stick around long enough. Take away's here are: Avoid checking in late. There are very much bears outside at night in extremely close proximity.

Clean, quiet hotel in convenient location

After several days of camping out, it was nice to get to a clean, quiet hotel with a friendly staff. Nice location just off the Main Street. Could walk to restaurants for dinner and shopping.

Great staff, worn out facility

Posted Jul 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
The owners are great but the facility is falling apart. The roof, the jacuzzi, the beds, the flooring, the window screens, everything. The location and the owners are great, the price reasonable, the breakfast decent but weak by B&B standards, the bed way past its prime, the jacuzzi water cloudy and smelly, the building in desperate need of some serious investment.
