Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous settingPosted Nov 25, 2013
Pros: Everything! Staff, size of rooms, laundry facilities, games room, dining, shopping...
Cons: Nothing at all
Location: Stunning location, swimming pool, shopping, dining, close to skiing.
Stayed here for one night on a trip from San Francisco to Las Vegas. Arrived to find we had been upgraded to a one bedroom suite, free of charge. Suite was huge, with the most comfortable king bed ever! The rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean. There was a games room to occupy the kids, with Playstation and Xbox, while we did our laundry. Dined at the Smokeyard BBQ downstairs, the meal was amazing. The kids were offered free DVDs to watch for the night. We were definitely sad to be only spending one night, would love to return here one day for an extended stay.

Nice resort in ski town.Posted Oct 18, 2013
Pros: Location, covered parking, views and staff
Cons: Price per night was way too high for off season. Most of the shops and restaurants were closed.
Location: Search on TripAdvisor. Mono Lake is a good place to visit. Don't bother with the fish hatchery.
The Village Lodge is a nice resort located in a ski lodge complex. It is a little hard to find, especially in a heavy rain storm at night. Staff were all very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Room was a one bedroom but layout was less than ideal. It was functional but felt cramped. If you are a skier, great place to stay since the lift is just a short distance in the same complex. We were there for Yosemite and the Mammoth Lakes area. Next time we'll stay on the west side of Yosemite since the drive to the valley from Mammoth Lakes is two hours of beautiful scenery but winding and difficult roads.

Nice Get-awayPosted Oct 15, 2013
Pros: Centrally located
Cons: Rooms could use some updating.
Location: Great location for skiers.
Nice hotel. Would stay there again. Only negative is there is no restaurant at the hotel, so if you want breakfast you need to drive to get it.

The Village lodge - Grand Sierra, Mammoth LakesPosted Oct 13, 2013
Location: Walk to Minaret Vista - we were there in Oct so weren't looking to ski.
Lovely accommodation, friendly helpful staff. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. We needed some time somewhere quiet, comfortable, peaceful and close to nature after a few extra unexpected days in Las Vegas and this was perfect! Very well equipped and perfect for a family. Excellent location with entry straight in to the village, which included a fantastic restaurant called Campo! We had a room which was not overlooking the bar and restaurant below so weren't disturbed by the noise from diners. The only problem was that our stay there was too short! We will definitely be recommending this property to anyone who happens to pass thru this way.

Great location. In the heart of the Village.Posted Oct 4, 2013
Pros: Location. Furnishings.
Cons: Could use air conditioning. A little pricey for off season.
Location: Great hiking and biking in the mountains and on trail paths. Gorgeous scenery.
We use this as "The Place to get Away from it all."

Excellent Accommodation & Friendly StaffPosted Oct 1, 2013
Pros: Room was huge and very comfortable, amazing views of the resort and friendly staff.
Location: We only stayed for 1 night so didnt really do anything at Mammoth Lakes, however restaurants & shops are just around the corner in walking distance
Our experience at the hotel was great, we checked in easily and was directed to our room. The room was huge and had everything and more that was needed. We was on the bottom floor next to the lift, we never heard the lift at all during our stay. Walking distance to restaurants and bars, although it was between seasons to was very quiet but we didnt mind that. Views were amazing and would definately recommend this hotel.

Convenient location, close to amenities and shopsPosted Oct 1, 2013
Location: We had a romantic dinner at Petra's Bistro, excellent food, sitting in front of the fireplace! It was right across from The Village Lodge!
We had such a relaxing time, soaking in the Jacuzzi and walking around The Village. We hope to return during the ski season, because the location is perfect for getting on the slopes.
