Pros: modern hotel with nice amenities
Cons: Hotel staff could be more attentive at front desk. Shuttle service needs improving. Hotel is far from airport
Location: No too much
Food very good, modern hotel with comfortable amenities. Barcelo is the only major hotel which does not offer shuttle service to hotel from the airport. They say they do, but it is not true.

Disappointing

I booked this hotel on the basis that it gave special consideration to holders of VIP Expedia cards. Other hotels have given me great rooms. This hotel seemed to have no knowledge of the affiliation. The room was tiny, the carpet was stained and dirty. I visit Managua every two years. I have stayed at a lot of nice hotels and this was not one of them.

I have stayed at this hotel on previous occasions and always found the staff to be respectful and eager to assist me in anything. I have made friends at this hotel because they treat me like part of the family ALWAYS. ....This time there was a problem with the elevator but there is 2 so not much to complain about....Beautiful, clean, great food, good location....

Slightly far from the city centre. Quiet hotel. Clean and good amenities. Clean big pool, Friendly staff, Airport transfer is free. Should have city transport

Pros: the facilities and the staff
Cons: an atm machine with letters toilet in room was slow to flush
Location: anywhere in managua by cab for 10 dollars: palacio nacional, plaza de revolucion, sandino statue and museum, rotunda with new Hugo Chavez lights
excellent staff, very congenial and helpful. easy taxi access to main sites in managua. room was spacious, clean and elegant.

Pros: spacious, the pool, clean, very helpful and courteous staff
Cons: toilet in bathroom was slow to flush. Needs an ATM machine with letters, not just numbers. I was not able to withdraw cash because of that.
Location: Good location. Many things nearby if you take a taxi, for about 10 dollars.
The hotel was very good. Room had great view of lake and was clean and comfortable. The staff and management were very friendly and helpful and made me feel at home and welcome. I traveled alone and this was a safe, friendly, and elegant place. I would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Positives: Friendly staff, good location, enjoyed the airport shuttle service, enjoyed the bar area Negatives: pretty expensive rate, ATM wasn't working, taxi drivers outside the hotel were ridiculously overbearing, hotel couldn't make very many recommendations on what to do

Pros: Clean, great breakfast, safe & amazing housekeeping
Cons: Front desk staff need more "customer service training"
Location: The shopping Center Galeria Santo Domingo is very close to the hotel
The front desk guy that help us with the check-in was rude, in my Expedia reservation said that I didn't have to leave a deposit or credit card to check in, he insisted in putting a hold of $200 on my Credit card I told him no, then he lower it to $100 we got there late, we were all tired & this person was giving us a hard time with the check-in, we like the hotel this is like our fourth time there, however we've noticed that the front desk staff are not as friendly as they used to be, I think is time for us try a different hotel experience next time in Nicaragua

The only bad thing that I found was the Gym ....poor maintenance with the universal machine the pins dont work good. Need oil or need some work to be done!
