Family stay.
Nice lobby. The room is a little small. Pillows could have been fluffier and towels could have been softer. Lost electricity and was running off a generator. Had to bath in cold water. Lights went out in time. Thankfully we were already packed. Not close to things to do.

Extraordinary
Julio, Luis and the entire restaurant crew made our stay comfortable and extraordinary. They were very professional and attentive to their task however small. They are good employees that need high commendations. Thank you all for making our stay a great one.

Like the room and the area Within the hotel. Food was good in the buffet. Did not like the room that had lots of moisture and water leaking under bathroom sink.

Hotel is clean and modern, good size swimming pool. Helpful staff and great breakfast! (Made on demand omelet!) Two things to note - room is on the smaller size (for 3), and the location is not that great.

Enjoyable stay in Manaus
The breakfast was excellent. The lobby was modern clean and inviting. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. We also enjoyed the pool which was clean and refreshing. There was plenty of convenient parking onsite as well. The only negative was the upkeep of the bathrooms. Our bathroom door frame had significant water damage and the shower had a significant amount of mildew/mold. Both of which I would not expect to see in a 4 star hotel.

Strictly Basic !!
In Manaus as a city, it's quite difficult to find good hotels, there aren't many options. Keeping that in mind, this is a strictly OK option. It's absolute basic, no frill hotel for a maximum of 1 or 2 nights. Except breakfast, which was decent, everything else including rooms, wifi, cleanliness, quality of bath fittings, etc barely manages to be at an acceptable level, nothing beyond basic.

A good hotel at the industrial zone of Manaus
Great breakfast, nice room (clean and comfortable) and good staff (responded promptly to questions and cordial). Need to improve around the neighborhood, to give a sensation of a more secure area.

Great hotel for our stay in Manaus.
Staff were exceptional. Any need we had they accommodated. The room was very clean and comfortable. Never had we have to ask for more towels. Room service was also good. Food took a bit to come to the room but it was very tasty. I wish breakfast was included in our stay because R$35 per person per day is a bit much. The hotel was a few minutes from the Opera House which has a few very good restaurants/pizzerias near as well as a beautiful opera house and courtyard perfect for a stroll during the evening and night. I'd highly recommend this hotel if staying in Manaus.

Good hotel, bad location.
Location is in an hotel area. Nothing to do walking distance. 30 minutes from airport. Hotel facilities are great, pool, restaurant, bed, bathroom, wifi, all services are good and room is very clean.

The Novotel was one of the cleanest and most modern hotels we stayed in in all of Brazil. The rooms were a good size and the beds were comfortable. Also, we got the room for a very reasonable price, during the World Cup noless.

A reservation means nothing here.
This hotel is miles away from Manaus, but it does have a pool and a good breakfast, but a reservation doesn't mean anything here. We booked and prepaid two rooms but the hotel sold our rooms to someone else and moved us to their shabby "sister" hotel a block away. There is a bar at the hotel with an expert barman who has never heard of gin and whose addition skills involve the sum of 18 and 28 being 56.

A nice surprise
It is not in the centre of Manaus but makes up for it with superb service. The centre is a £6 taxi ride away, the pool with birds and dragonflies swooping down was a delight and the staff could not do enough. The room, like everything else in the Novotel Manaus was a nice surprise.

Nearly free lodging in Manaus
This hotel is a decent place to overnight, but should not in any way be considered as a resort. The hotel is still under re-construction, so take that into account. The staff does their best to accomodate the customers, considering the language barriers and the state of re-construction. Tip: Do NOT rely on the tour services recommended by this this hotel. It is much better to follow the advice of the online/book travel guides and book tours directly from the tour offices downtown, for example the ones in the theater district. The main disadvantage of this hotell is the need to take a taxi everywhere, as it is out of the way. However, the price is very attractive, the bed is clean and comfortable, no insects, the air conditioning is quiet, and the hotel can be booked for next to free together with an airline ticket to Manaus as part of various packages. Summary: Nearly free lodging in Manaus, but out of the way. Also, avoid the tour services/recommendations of the hotel. Enjoy your stay in Manaus!

THE HOTEL IS IN THE MIDST OF BEING REFURBISHED. A FACT THAT THEY NEVER SHARED WITH ME BEFOREHAND. DURING THE DAY THE NOISE AND DUST FROM THE HAMMERING WERE CONSTANT. THE POOL WAS FILTHY AND UNACCESSIBLE THE GYM WAS CLOSED. THERE WAS NO PLACE TO HOLD MEETINGS OR FOR THAT MATTER RELAX OUTSIDE OF MY ROOM. NONE OF THE COMMON BATHROOMS WERE WORKING. NO HOT WATER IN THE MORNING. IT WAS MY SECOND AND LAST VISIT..

Ideal stopover.
A perfect stopover when travelling to Amazon. The pool was very welcome on our return from the jungle. Located in the industrial area but fine for us as tourists. Clean and comfortable.

Good value in Manaus
We stayed here for one night only as a layover on the way to an Amazon adventure. Thought that it was average until we had to spend a night in another hotel because the airline had overbooked our flights. The Novotel was superior to the Best Western downtown - that the airline put us up in. So, by N. American standards, it was average but by Manaus standards, it was superb.
