Deception
Posted Jan 11, 2013
Just breakfast and view is good. By the window of my room I could see the Black River. In general, this hotel is very simple and don't justifies the price what I paid for one day there. I saw several areas where was dirty and people who were in the desk didn't help me when I asked for.

Disappointing.
Posted Jan 21, 2013
Pros: Location
Cons: Bathroom needs bleaching. Signs of mold being developed in shower.
Check in was extremely stressful. We arrived at 12 noon and did not get a room until nearly 4 PM. Reservation could not be found. Room did not have towels.

October 2012 visit to Manaus.
Posted Jan 31, 2012
Pros: Location
Cons: Trying to make a long distance call with hotel staff assistance.
Upkeep of hotel needs improvements. Air conditioning not working sufficiently through out reception area, dinning area, elevators, and hallways. Front desk personnel, so-so. Except for a young man named Adriano... truly superb young man, always trying very hard to please.

Park Suites Manaus
Posted Jan 23, 2011 on Hotels.com
The checkin staff were very pleasant but the hallways were quite dirty with stained carpet, etc. Our room was fine although the floor was not very clean...the bathroom was fine and and the bed comfortable although only had one thin sheet and no blanket. If I were returning to Manaus I would check out other options.

Park Suites Hotel - in a quiet neighborhood
Posted Jan 30, 2011 on Hotels.com
Most room have a view of the river, and we thought that is what we would have. Only four rooms per floor do not have a river view and we were initially assigned one of these. The air conditioner did not work and the room had a bad odor. When we complained and a mechanic ascertained that the air conditioner was not working, we were assigned a room with a great river view that also overlooked the hotel pool. The breakfast buffet was very good, but the dinner buffet was poor. There was also very little choice on the menu. We ended up eating several times at the Tropical Hotel next door. The travel agent at the Park Suites could not book excursions; we had to go to the Tropical Hotel next door to do that. All excursions left from the Tropical Hotel. The front desk personel did speak English and were very courteous. Check in and check out was efficient. Cabs on the hotel property do not have meters and cost about twice as much as a normal cab, which can be called. Routine maintenence is not performed and torn wall paper was evident on some of the walls.

New favorite hotel in Manuas

I travel to Brazil 15-20 times a year and as far as Manaus goes, this is the best for business. It is on the river, great view. Breakfast is the same as everywhere else...but fine none the less. Room's are nice, internet is fast. Great meeting rooms. Walking distance to the riverfront activities.
