Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful
Cons: The beds were too firm (hard) to my taste and the hotel needs some repairs.
Location: Centrally located. Close to restaurants and to atractions.
The hotel is centrally located. Unfortunately the condition of the room is not the best. The beds were very hard. The pool had no water. Breakfast was ok. The first night and the following day there was no hot water. On the last day the hot water came back. The air conditioner was nicely cold. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I am sure that with a bit of Tender love and care the hotel would be better. It is not a four star hotel as listed.

Not what I expected

The room was in a poor condition, bathroom wasn't too clean, there where even some dry leaves in the shower. Breakfast wasn't satisfying either and we found the breakfast room even worse. I would definitely not go back there.

OK, but...

This hotel was OK for my needs (2 one night stays between trips outside the city of Manaus). For a longer stay I would not have been happy there. The hotel has seen better days and really needs updating. The rooms are dreary but clean and the AC adequate, if noisy. While fine for sleeping the rooms are not places where one would want to hang out for any length of time. Furthermore there are no public spaces in the hotel. People thinking of staying here should plan on being out and about all day. There is a good breakfast and meals are available for lunch and dinner. The front desk and bellboys were helpful (limited English). It appears to be in a decent part of town and I walked to a number of places (eg The Opera House) and felt quite secure. For people in transit (as I was) or for those who know that they will be kept busy by outside activities this hotel is adequate
