Great location just wasn't overly impressed.Posted Apr 18, 2015
Great location, couple minutes walk from Manchester Piccadilly train station, 10minute walk from all the shops. I just wasn't overly impressed with this hotel. The staff were nice but didn't go out of their way. The room was nice, but nothing great, it was very small. I thought for the price I paid I would have gotten a little bit more. Having got a deal at the Hilton Double tree along the road a couple of weeks previously this hotel didn't even come close it was nothing in comparison. Nothing overly negative about the hotel just wasn't super impressed.

Lovely birthday night away On a bank holidayPosted Apr 8, 2015
Lovely one night stay in the abode hotel on easter Monday night. Check in is quick and simple and early, from 2pm. Lift up to rooms is right next to the reception desk. Room was lovely and spacious. Everything was clean. Very quiet considering it is in the heart of the city. Very happy stay.

Expensive, but what hotel in Manchester isn't?Posted Apr 7, 2015
Awesome place right in the centre of Manchester, 5 mins walk from Piccadilly station. Stylish room with good facilities, but what really topped the stay was breakfast - incredible English cooked in their own Michael Caine restaurant on the ground floor. Exactly what I needed after several hours of drinking the night before! Abode is expensive compared to a lot of the hotels I've stayed in recently in other parts of the country, but comparing prices in Manchester it's relatively reasonable. If you have the cash, I'd recommend this hotel.

Good location, close to Piccadilly StationPosted Apr 3, 2015
Pros: The fact that it incorporated the original fixtures and fittings - lovely tiling and staircase still in situ plus art deco lamps.
Cons: A sign saying something like 'Be aware not all your guests are getting up early for breakfast' - some unwanted noise from other occupiers,
Lovely quirky surroundings - not corporate. Ate in the Michael Caines restaurant one evening and the bistro one lunch time. Quality of food served excellent. Ambiance very pleasant. Good service, reasonable pricing. Hotel close to Manchester Art Gallery, The People's Museum, shops, cinema, The Royal Exchange, The Fig and Sparrow a good breakfast location in the Northern Quarter.

Lovely stay brilliant locationPosted Mar 25, 2015
Really rate this hotel. The receptionist was so helpful when I arrived, even pointing out the tram stop for my journey the next day. My room was gorgeous, a lovely space. I'm back in Manchester next month and this will be my first choice of places to stay.

Hot in the cityPosted Mar 15, 2015
Stayed 1 night and although the room 102 was small it was comfortable with one bug problem however- heat !! There are hot water pipes running through the room which are always hot so you find yourself in a room with the air con on just to cool it down !! Incredible waste of energy and I think they know of this as the actual radiator in the room was off - had a very uncomfortable nights sleep

Nice Boutique hotel in CentralPosted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: Felt like a boutique hotel but was priced competitively. Great facilities if you're traveling for work (free wifi, iron, kettle all the essentials).
Cons: Not enough flat surfaces IE to eat food/next to bed (only one bedside table) but given the price honestly that's such a minor point!
Location: Fantastically central and close to Piccadilly, a short jaunt to Northern Quarter, too.
I had never stayed before and it was chosen given it's good price and location. The front desk staff was excellent and highly professional like what you expect in any high end hotel, helping me book taxis and with a mending kit for my button! Good room service, and the room itself in nice shape (modern and airy, well heated). Was also surprised to have such a nice TV and well decorated room. Really comfortable stay after a stressful trip.
