BEWARE OF PARKINGPosted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Very pleasant staff, good sized rooms, accessible for most tourist areas, restaurants etc
Cons: Guests need to be made aware that they should not leave their car outside the hotel even for a few minutes without displaying a parking ticket.
Location: Close to transport, museums, restaurants and bars.
Parked for a few minutes outside hotel in end parking bay, no yellow lines, no No Parking Signs (discovered later that there was a sign and ticket machine at the opposite end but we didn't see it). Went into hotel to get directions to Car Park arranged through hotel and after a few minutes I returned to the car to move it a Traffic Warden was already writing out a ticket. Time observed by Traffic Warden was 5 minutes so no tolerance given. We were later told by locals that the Traffic Wardens are always on the prowl and I understand incentives are given on the number of tickets issued. Hotel very good and the area great for getting around. Shame really as our short break in Manchester was marred by this incident.

Nice, friendly, clean, modern hotel.Posted Sep 7, 2014
Great location for city centre and restaurants. Friendly, smiley staff. Modern, trendy and very clean hotel. Fab bar downstairs. Only gripe is that there was some sort of fan outside our room (602) window which was quite disturbing in the night. Overall though a great hotel.

Eeyore Loved It HerePosted Aug 24, 2014
I traveled with a stuffed Eeyore that I sleep with. (Yes, I'm 40 in number only!), and when I would get back to the hotel, the cleaning staff would have him tucked into bed, or reading the menu. It was adorable! The hotel is located close to everything, had very friendly, helpful, smiling staff, and the view of Town Hall out my window was breathtaking!

Pros: Modern and clean and everything worked.
Location: The Manchester Art Gallery, Albert Square, the People's History Museum, John Rylands Library, and Manchester Piccadilly are all easily reached.
A great value hotel, which is clean and comfortable, and with central Manchester only a short walk away. Spacious rooms, wonderful breakfast, delightful staff.

Great Facility with Courteous, Accommodating StaffPosted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: I liked everything about this hotel.
Cons: Don't change a thing! This place has everything I want the way I want it.
Location: The hotel is within easy walking distance of everything I wanted to see, starting with the city art gallery right across the street.
Don't be fooled by the Victorian shell. This facility appears to have been recently and entirely rebuilt on the inside to produce a modern, well furnished hotel with rooms that are larger than the UK standard. Though the hotel is located in the heart of a bustling city, my room was absolutely, blissfully quiet. Usually I avoid hotel restaurants like the plague because so often they are provided solely to justify the claim that the hotel is "full service," and seldom do they provide good value. But at the end of a long day I decided to try the dining room at the Arora. I enjoyed at excellent meal, carefully prepared, very visually appealing, amply portioned, and served with courteous efficiency. Also good value. The staff in Reception and in the restaurant are all attentive, effective, well informed, and genuinely committed to customer service. This is an excellent, comfortable hotel! The location is also superb. Cross the street to enter the municipal Art Gallery. A block away are the architecturally imposing Town Hall and Central Library. And you're a short walk from many other interesting sites, ranging from the John Rylands Library to the Cathedral and the National Football Museum. And a 12-minute walk from the Piccadilly trains station.

Central city locationPosted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff. Nice clean and spacious rooms not over-crowded with furniture.
Cons: Very happy with the hotel service we received.
Location: Easy walk to get to the Coronation St tour site. Also central location made it easy to walk around the central city.
Friendly and efficient staff. Dietary needs attended to rather than just saying sorry, not available. Central location so able to walk to most amenities. Also provided assistance rental car bookings.
