Good value, good location

Well located for City centre attractions and shopping. Staff were friendly and efficient. Room was clean but air con/heating fan a bit noisy. Breakfast ok, but a bit basic for the price.

Great room & helpful staff

Posted Oct 28, 2014
Pros: Everything about the hotel was great. Excellent location. Car park very close by for which you can get a discount through the hotel.
Cons: The tea at breakfast tasted horrible!
Location: In China Town. Walking distance to loads of restaurants and cocktail bars! 15 min walk to MOSI.
Rang a few days before arrival to enquire about parking and ended up having our room upgraded! Checked into large, warm, clean room with comfy bed and excellent shower. Staff were very friendly and always happy to help.

Overnight Stop

Posted Oct 28, 2014
Pros: Location.
Cons: Addition of a few refinements - move away from the "basic" appearance.
Location: Very close to Deansgate and Chinatown - plenty of options for things to do close by.
Expected more from a 4 star hotel - no bath (shower only). Very basic room (coffee & tea facility but no biscuits?) Nearby parking - £20.00 !!! Breakfast was very good but overpriced at £13.00pp (discounted to £10.00 if booked night before)

Comfortable hotel, in heart of city

Posted Oct 1, 2014
Pros: Very large comfortable room, huge bed, nice en-suite, great shower, parking right outside (although it is expensive and 2 hours max stay).
Cons: This is not within the hotel's control, & it is a good/bad feature: parking right outside the front door, but beware, very expensive! 2hrs = £5.80!
Location: City centre, easy to walk to all the shops and other sites. Loads of good restaurants within a few minutes walk.
This is a comfortable hotel right in the centre of the city, within a minutes walk of a tram station, and loads of good restaurants. We only stayed one night, but would definitely go back again if we were going to sight-see around Manchester.

Great location in China Town section Manchester.

I expected better service and accommodations/amenities for it being rated so highly by Expedia.

BEWARE OF PARKING

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Very pleasant staff, good sized rooms, accessible for most tourist areas, restaurants etc
Cons: Guests need to be made aware that they should not leave their car outside the hotel even for a few minutes without displaying a parking ticket.
Location: Close to transport, museums, restaurants and bars.
Parked for a few minutes outside hotel in end parking bay, no yellow lines, no No Parking Signs (discovered later that there was a sign and ticket machine at the opposite end but we didn't see it). Went into hotel to get directions to Car Park arranged through hotel and after a few minutes I returned to the car to move it a Traffic Warden was already writing out a ticket. Time observed by Traffic Warden was 5 minutes so no tolerance given. We were later told by locals that the Traffic Wardens are always on the prowl and I understand incentives are given on the number of tickets issued. Hotel very good and the area great for getting around. Shame really as our short break in Manchester was marred by this incident.
