“If you need to be close to the airport, it was great...”

Great shower, very reasonably priced, and nice grounds.

“Very very good”

You might have trouble finding this hotel in the middle of the night because they've been having trouble with their lighting outside -- we ended up passing it 3x thinking it was a church, not the back of reception! Our stay was brief but pleasurable. Room was very clean and well-maintained. Check-in and check-out were professionally staffed and maintained. The real kicker is it's only 15 minutes from the airport during rush-hour, so it's a convenient place to stay if you need to get back and forth from Manchester Airport. There's tons of good shopping in the immediate area too, which we could unfortunately not take advantage of at the late time we arrived.

“Hotel is fine”

I read mixed reviews about the hotel. It is fine. The rooms are smaller than we are used to in the US but that is to be expected. You can not go wrong with this choice.

“Good Value”

The hotel was pleasant and comfortable. It is a good place to stay if you are flying in or out of Manchester and are looking for a room at a budget price. Although it says it is only about 3 miles from the airport, it takes about 20 minutes to get there since there is not a direct route.

“Thistle Manchester Airport”

The hotel online seemed unimpressive but the hotel we found to be a nice surprise. The rooms were roomy, clean, nicely outfitted and the beds were comfortable. We didn't try the restaurant but the staff was very helpful. The airport is easy to access and only 10 minutes away. This was a real find and a bargain.

“Good hotel near Manchester airport”

We needed a place to stay overnight not too far from the Manchester airport, with our flight leaving early the next morning. This hotel was fine, not too expensive, and about 15 minutes away. We had dinner from room service, which was actually tasty and delivered in about 1/2 hour by two people with a smile and without even waiting for a tip. Beware that the hotel is towards Handforth and not in Wilmslow center - be sure to get a better map than the one on the hotel site because it can be difficult to find.

“Comfortable Overnight at the Thistle Hotel Manchester Airport”

This is a pleasant hotel, with a rather impressive garden, situated at some distance from the Manchester Airport (a good deal farther, in fact, than their claimed three miles!) Use the hotel's shuttle service, rather than a cab at the curb, as the cab drivers don't know where it is! And it's cheaper. I got a pretty good rate for the room by booking in advance on the internet. This is not a luxury hotel, but there are some amenities, such as internet access, a bar and a restaurant. The room was pleasant, but not luxurious. I'd use it again, for the price, in comparison with the hotels more closely associated with the airport.

“A pleasant place to stay”

We were very pleased with this hotel. The room was airy clean and well maintained. The lovely garden was a pleasure to sit and walk in (but watch out for the pine cones underfoot). We didn't try the restaurant as it seemed rather expensive to us though it wasn't excessively so. The lobby had free wireless computer access which was very convenient for us. The staff were very responsive and helpful. there were free daily newspapers (The Guardian) and very tasty apples at the reception. We extended our stay by a night and wished we could have stayed longer. It was excellent value for money.

“Good Place for Airport Access - Breakfast too Pricey”

The hotel was fine, but dining options in the vicinity were non - existent, therefore either eat breakfast at the airport or pay way, way, way too much. Dinner was a better deal and actually quite tastey and served impeccably.
