Great LocationPosted Aug 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is a moment's drive from the M6 without the intrusive motorway noise. We have stayed here on a number of occasions and love the location and the budget prices. Indeed, we remember it when it was a Moat House many years ago when standards were somewhat higher. The staff are great and welcoming. However, the fabric of the hotel is worn and weary. We were given a room with chairs which had 50% of their surface missing due to rips and wear. The main hotel area has stained carpets and ripped leather furnishings which wouldn't make money in a charity shop. Tiles in the bathroom were cracked and stained. Window frames often had mould and mildew on every surface. In short, we felt uncomfortable in some of the areas. This hotel specialises in budget coach stop-overs and has a genial and friendly atmosphere. We can forgive the wear and tear, but cleanliness is a basic.

Awful! DIsgusting hotel straight out of crossroads 1980's set. Wallpaper falling off the wall, the swimming pool had chemicals in it that tarnished my fiance's ring, plus you could taste the chemicals when you breathed in. Overgrown shrubs and flowerbeds! Double bed was two singles pushed together, pillow's limp and offer no support. Breakfast £10.99!!!!! Apart from that great!

Not brilliant - staff looked bored, pool was closed early (5pm) as it was easter (!!??) Room in need of good decoration. Found a kinder egg under the bed so room not fully cleaner from previous occupants. Disappointed.
