Charnley Mews Boutique Guesthouse

Good through the online booking process, and efficient with Texts to give you room and security details. Main living area was neat and tidy, kitchen needed a bit of a clean, broken plates at sink, broken glass on floor. Room was compact but all i needed, no toiletries in toilet which you could do nothing about as no staff present when I arrived. Great value but should work towards some nicer touches.

"guesthouse" in the middle of nowhere

Location: A small drive from Manchester which wasn't an issue. House is a bit small but you get what you pay for.
guesthouse was a tiny house with tiny bedrooms. Upon arrival there was nobody there to answer the door or see us to our rooms. We just had to wait around. The girl had nothing organised by this time (mid-afternoon). During our stay there were disruptive drunk guests whom made alot of noise in the middle of the night. This seemed to be condoned by the girl in charge. These guests could also be overheard claiming there dislike for certain ethnic origins within Britain. Ethnic origins which me and my parents just happened to belong to. Overall awful experience, upon leaving there was nobody to be found to give my keys to in the end just had to assume she'd find it on the kitchen table.

We are sorry that you didn't have a great experience at our Guest House, we would like to mention since your stay we have had a change in management and staff. Our Guest Hous is located in the Heart of Whitefield. There are easy and affordable public transport routes into Manchester City Cente and Bury, as well as a 2-minute drive from the Motorway. Since the handover we have reduced the occupancy levels of the rooms so guests can appreciate a more spacious feel, we also have a completely different entrance system where we send an email and text message to guests prior to arrival, we have clear house rules posted on entrance in each house and have CCTV installed. Should we be aware of any discriminative behaviour we would immediately take further action. We hope you return and see the improvements that we have strived to make.

Good for people doing sports.

Pros: Low cost. Kitchen available for cooking. Parking place.
Cons: No reception.
Location: Good location, close to pubs, supermarkets and gas station. Close to motorway.
It would be useful if there was a receptionist and someone answering the phone.

Thank you for your feedback, We would like to mention that since your stay we have had a change of management, and we have much more reliable staff, we aim to answer each call, however as we receive a high volume and may be attending to other guests or matters at the same time , this is not always possible, we do have a voice mail service which we will respond to as soon as possible, you can also contact us via email and we aim to respond within 24 hours, if the matter is urgent we advise all guests to make this known and we will do our utmost to ensure your enquiry is dealt with swiftly and efficiently.
