Do not recommend!!

Posted Jun 1, 2014
Pros: Nothing!
Cons: Everything!
Location: Location was ok and easy to get to via bus from city centre.
Looked ok from outside, but no-one about when we went in and had to shout a few times to get some attention. Went upto room which was a dump!! 2 minutes later all hell broke loose, problem with member of staff as far as we could make out. At this point was ready to leave but nowhere else available! Managed a small amount of sleep and when we went down at 9am in the morning no one around again!! We had payed for breakfast but to be honest would not have liked to eat there anyway!

Absolutely awful!

Posted May 20, 2014
Pros: Nothing!
Cons: Everything!
We booked a double room with en suite & breakfast, what we were shown on checking looked more like a prison cell. Bunk beds and a chest of drawers, no towels and the use of a grubby looking shared bathroom! When I pointed out that this wasn't what we had booked and paid for, the extremely unhelpful staff member just kept repeating that he didn't put the bookings on the system. Needless to say, we didn't stay. The only positive about the whole sorry saga is that Expedia have responded promptly and efficiently to my request for a refund.

Adequate for the price

I wasn't too keen on the charcoal coloured duvet set and there was only one towel and no kettle on the room but it was clean and neat and can't really expect much more for the price!

Det verste eg har sett! Råte og sopp på rommet, rommet var ikkje rengjort og på toppen av kaka så var det ikkje varmtvatn!

Dirty and not fit to be called a hotel

Posted Jun 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
first room, dirty sheets, missing pillow cases, dirty towels, roller blind broke so would not open, window broke so would not open. room smells of cigarette smoke and cooking oil. Second room, again dirty sheets and dirty pillow cases, dirty towels. dirty bathroom. When I say dirty let me explain...... sheets were used with hairs clearly in view on pillow cases and sheets... also bedding looked slept in !.........the hotel is not a 3 star hotel... its no way a hotel, its two terrace houses joined together. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels and hostels... this cannot be called either ! hotels.com and Manchester council need to inspect these premises. After the second room, we left and went home ! Bye Bye Manchester and the Money for the "hotel" please do not waste your money... go else where !

The stay was pleasant and to be expected for a guest house. However as soon as we got there we were informed that our shower wouldn't work and it didn't have a shower head. We had to use communal showers even though we'd paid for an en-suite service. Secondly we had an issue with our door handle which lead us to be locked out of our room until one of the staff had to prize the door open, to then be told we couldn't change rooms. The rooms themselves are cosy and small. Nothing like the pictures shown on the website or any feedback service. Overall the staff were nice, the rooms were snug and comfortable but I wouldn't choose to stay there again.

Pros: you help your self to breakfast, ie,toast cereal brews a good selection of cereal,x jam and peanut butter,
Cons: none really
Location: good bus route, taxi cheap in to the city, worth a nip in the embassy club down the road good little club,
good little hotel, you get what you pay for, but staff are fantastic.xxx
