Hotel and staff were really lovely and friendly , restaurants and food was top class, except for breakfast which I thought was a bit pricey £ 22 for two people as it was only £9 for a three course evening meal , otherwise everything else was exceptional .

Had a fantastic 2 night stay at this excellent friendly hotel, which is close to Manchester but still located in the countryside. The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast was superb and the leisure facilities are some of the best I have seen in a hotel. There are some brilliant pubs nearby if you wish to go offsite. Would use this again if I'm in the area and would recommend it to anyone.

This lovely old building has been given a new lease of life as a wonderful hotel. One hesitates to use the term "charming" for a city hotel but that is what this building is. The old internal cast iron columns have been retained and the floors opened up to provide an airy atrium like space to welcome guests as they walk in. The brickwork is exposed and the industrial history is ever present as you move around the hotel. The staff are attentive and helpful and willing to go the extra Mile for the guests.

Hotel was ideally located in the city centre, close to Arndale shopping area and some great bars and restaurants. This made our stay so comfortable and convenient and meant we walked everywhere. Hotel had been recently refurbished based on reviews and we were very kindly upgraded to a newer room and on the 11th floor, high enough to be away from any street noise. Room was large although the sofa could have been more comfortable and the bathroom was very small but modern at least. Could have done with a bigger bath/shower but just a minor point really.
the thing that makes this hotel stand out is the great customer service and friendliness of the staff and the location. We could not have asked for more and we would definitely stay here again.
