Pros: Our room was very nice and very comfortable. We didn't spend much time there, so we didn't get to enjoy and of the amenities.
The Hotel was hard for us to find because we thought the entrance was for the restaurant. But once we got there everything was wonderful. The staff was exceptionally pleasant and helpful. I dropped my money belt without realizing it. They found it and kept it in the safe upon my description of it.

Disappointing visitPosted Oct 21, 2013
Pros: My room was very large, clean, nice bathroom, the other 2 rooms I booked were of a good standard apart from the smell of the paint. Staff were good.
Cons: Staffing levels, better planning for events, adequate stocking of drinks and faster provision of food for the breakfast buffet.
Location: Attended wedding so didn't venture out
We were told that we could check in at 2pm but when we arrived, there was a delay due to a wedding from the previous day. We were then advised that rooms would be ready by 3pm however, we waited as long as we could until the wedding breakfast started and the rooms still weren't ready by 3.45pm. The reception staff told another guest that they had phoned as many customers as possible the previous day to advise them of a later check-in - I booked 3 rooms and my mobile number was left with them but no one phoned me. One of the rooms I booked smelled badly of paint, we were intially told that the room could not be changed but after arguing, eventually someone did help and an alternative room was provided. My room was too hot to sleep in. The bar at the wedding was under-staffed, there was confusion at the cost of some drinks, we queued for 25 mins to get served and fairly quickly some drinks ran out completely. At breakfast there were queues again, staff had expected considerably less guests than arrived, more queuing, insufficient tables for people to sit and eat at and some items ran out completely for some customers. The staff here are very helpful, they looked embarassed and apologetic, in my opinion something had gone badly wrong with the planning.

Check before you goPosted Sep 26, 2013
Pros: Not a lot but the grounds are attractive.
Cons: Almost everything.
Location: In the countryside but close to a number of tourist attractions.
Kilhy Court was a real disappointment. The hotel is poorly maintained and the bedrooms lack any sign of luxury or comfort. The lighting in our bedroom was inadequate although the room was so dark that we had to have the lights on during the day. There is an element of Fawlty Towers about the place, even down to the staff who were very pleasant but not particularly professional. The only redeeming feature about the place is the dining room which is quite attractive. Unfortunately this was spoilt by the rather dismal music that was played all night. We only stayed one night luckily. One of the managers said that they were going to spend some money on the place and bring it up to the Macdonalds standard. Personally I would suggest anyone checks to see if this has happened before booking in.

Excellent valuePosted Sep 7, 2013
Pros: The setting and value for money.
Cons: Lack of air conditioning
Location: In the countryside yet just outside the centre of Wifan
Wonderful setting, beautiful buildings and a very comfortable stay. Room would benefit from air conditioning but can't really complain at such a competitive price.

Totally relaxation with capital RPosted Sep 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very pleased with accommodation, food and service. All staff I met went extra mile to make me feel welcome - particularly Dawn, Melissa and Sharon. I also complimented the training session that was taking place at reception - it made me realise how important the guest is! Everyone was so welcoming and it appeared some were new to hotel but it certainly did not give that impression I look forward to returning soon
