Too Hot

Posted Jun 10, 2014
Pros: The room was very clean.
Cons: All of the above
On a summers evening this is not the hotel you want to be in. There is no air con in the room. There home TV screen is not very good it takes 5 minutes to navigate through all of their serivces before being able to switch to BBC1. None of the other digital channels worked.

Pleasant stay

Posted May 30, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, good food and communal bar area
Cons: Two chairs in a double room! Quieter guests in the morning (or possibly better soundproofing in the corridors)
It's a great hotel a little 'out' of the normal thoroughfare but incredibly close to the motorway (but not close enough for noise issues). Good facilities (especially the swimming pool complex)

One of Boltons best hotels

Posted Mar 20, 2014
Cons: Bigger TV.
Location: Rebok stadium and shopping nearby
Surprisingly large and comfortable rooms, clean and spacious bathroom.Although room size causes a small problem in watching a small TV at a distance.

very nice location

Would not stay when wedding is on, too much drink and then a lot of noise as they retire, about 2am bad language and slamming of doors. But hotels need business and have to take what they get, I pity the staff who have to deal with this class of business.

If you want a noisy hotel and don't need sleep

Posted Jan 27, 2014
Pros: Seeing it in the rear view mirror as we drove away
Cons: Noise Ineffective double-glazing in room
We were staying here on 25 January to deal with a bereavement, but were given a room above a wedding. The noise was such that it vibrated the furniture in the room until 1am. After that is the usual noise for at least another hour until all the people had left or found their rooms. The reception staff told us on two occasions that this is a 'function' hotel and thus all guests should expect this this level of noise. So this is their standard excuse. But it doesn't say this on their website and there's no warning when you check in. So our advice is that unless you want this kind of noise, stay well away . There are Premier Inns nearby and you probably won't have to listen to screaming chavettes fighting until dawn either.

Modern Hotel ticking all the boxes

Posted Jan 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
Room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Liked having tea/coffee provided in the room and the fact that a safe was provided for valuables. Breakfast was good but would have been a little overpriced had it not been for the half price offer. Experienced some confusion on checking out with regard to paying for extras over and above the basic price which had been prepaid via an agent. However, overall thought the hotel experience was excellent and represented good value for the price charged and would strongly recommend it to friends and family staying in the Bolton area.

Thin walls

Posted Jan 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
The room was lovely but with very thin walls. You could here the person next door as if they were in the same room and then I was rudely awoken by their alarm at 5am on a Sunday, which went off for 15 minutes! The spa area was also very cramped. The pool and spa just aren't big enough for the size of the hotel. I lasted 5 minutes and then decided it would be more relaxing to have a bath in my hotel room. However, the service and quality of the room was fab, if you're just looking for somewhere to lay your head for a night.
