A star plus (nearly)

Posted Apr 9, 2015
Pros: City view from room. Good bedroom and ensuite arrangement and facilities. Plenty of clothes hangers and hanging space. Ironing. Robes and slippers,
Cons: Better coffee in the bedrooms, with complimentary snacks. Shower area not quite free draining
Location: Very good central Manchester hotel so easy to get out to enjoy the many attractions. A good restaurant and bar in the hotel.
Very welcoming and helpful at reception. On 11th floor to start with but asked to change ( I am a light sleeper and could hear 'the plant' on the roof). Changed our room with no fuss to 12th floor (still some plant noise but less). The room sizes was more than adequate and we had a great view of the city roofscape, Town Hall, library and the Peninnes in the distance. The ensuite was very good with bath and shower although a minor irritant was that some water spilled into the adjacent area and didn't drain easily. Plenty of hanging room and clothes hanger with a good iron and board. Recharging facility for iPhone with a combined player. Breakfast was served in the room , some items were missing but a quick call put that right Parking was simple and could be done through a valet if required I think they could make more of the Free Trade Hall connection, it's relevance to the history of Manchester both old and more recent (THE Sex Pistols gig!)

Perfect Hotel

Posted Apr 8, 2015
Pros: Lovely atmosphere and décor first class breakfast and staff on all levels.
Cons: My ability to be able to stay more often!
Location: My friend and I visit to enjoy the fabulous shopping and restaurants that Manchester has to offer the metro buses make getting around the city so easy
From the minute the concierge Jack introduced himself out on the steps of the hotel to take our luggage to the moment the door was held open for us as we left the whole experience of our overnight stay was faultless, we have stayed at the hotel before and look forward to visit again next month.

Great location - Central Manchester

Posted Mar 29, 2015
Pros: See above
Cons: Breakfast organisation
Location: Central Manchester, shopping, metro closeby, historic architecture.
Check in/out very quick and painless. Breakfast was a little disorganised but we did arrive at peak time. Facilities was great, swimming pool, gym etc. Also, we were upgraded to Business Room which was a pleasant surprise.

Really nice hotel in city centre

Posted Mar 15, 2015
I usually stay at the Malmaison but opted for the Radisson with my partner for a Friday night out in Manchester. The hotel is in a great location within a 2min walk from Deansgate and near Spinningfield. The double deluxe room was nice. Nice grooming area and bathroom, and a very comfortable bed. Great choice for a social visit.

Not as good as it should have been.

Arrived at the radisson blu Edwardian, swift check in, nice room but little things that need sorting like, big rip in net curtain, a couple of small holes/rips in wall paper. I opened the fridge and found the last persons sushi in there that was starting to smell rotten, I phoned reception but nobody arrived to move it, on our way out to dinner 2 1/2 hrs later I re informed reception in person and it had gone by the time we returned. Thought paying the extra would be a nice treat but will be staying back at the crown plaza next time.

manchester central hotel

Pros: position handy for shopping
Cons: Bathrooms
Not an ideal hotel to take your 15 year old daughter as lots of parties in various function rooms Lots of big groups having parties and celebrations - tried to visit the spa but very busy large groups in there aswell so quite intimidating. Bathroom has a shower/wet room which covers the floor with water so if you need the toilet once you are showered and dressed you need to be very careful not to get wet. Only one pair of slippers in wardrobe. Rooms very small
