Excellent Restaurant

Posted Mar 20, 2015
Reception staff very good and helpful, room comfortable and a good size but seemed geared up for business men , was diss appointed with house keeping as bed was not made properly, cover just pulled over top, and bathroom not cleaned just straightened up, and bag of rubbish left on floor, obviously forgotten, on the third day of our stay, housekeeping staff member left her pass keyentre in our room and this went unnoticed until I handed it in at reception which is a bit of a worry! On the plus side, it's in a very good location, easy walking distance to cathedral ,restaurants and shopping centre, the Restaurant was first class as was the service and although a little pricey , was comparable to local Restaurants.

Good, but lacks something, not 5 star

just a one night stay in river view room. Spacious room, comfy bed, excellent shower and nice aromatherapy toiletries. But, no window to open for fresh air. Worst night sleep in a long time. Breakfast excellent. Meal in hotel restuRant was very good too. Good but would chose a Raddison or MacDonald next time.

Space Comfort Service and Food

Posted Mar 10, 2015
Pros: Spaciousness and modernity
Location: Easy walking distance of the centre of Manchester, literally inches inside Salford.
Space, Comfort, Service and Food all absolutely outstanding. Thank goodness for an (admittedly expensive) superior room that was simply giant sized. Such a relief. Same for comfy beds and furniture, and quality of food. I even called the night reception for something at 2am, and it was cheerfully and immediately produced. Perfect business hotel. Treats one like a human being, not a unit. Total relief all round. But prepare yourself for the bill!

enjoyable stat

Posted Mar 8, 2015
Pros: Comfortable bed and modern decor
Cons: Check in staff
Location: Central to Salford and close to media city and the Lowery
This is a lovely modern hotel. We were treated by the doorman who could not have been more helpful or interested in us as a visitor. He pointed us to the direction of the reception and that is where the only negative experience came from. The check in member of staff was very difficult to understand and couldn't serm to get us away quick enough. There was no direction of where we had to go to find our room and there was no explanation as to where we should go for dinner and breakfast. Having said that we did have an enjoyable stay and managed to find dinner and breakfast venue!!

Lovely hotel but poor breakfast experience

Posted Feb 22, 2015
Have stayed here a number of times and its always been faultless- we love it. However on our recent visit the hotel was let down by the breakfast. At £21.50 it's not cheap but has always been a wonderful end to our trip. Things seem to have changed as when we asked for a full English breakfast from the al a carte menu we were directed (without a choice) to the buffet style option- previously the option of having it cooked freshly was offered. Not too bothered by this we went to the buffet which was luke warm, dry and all very unappetizing. The only available eggs were undercooked scrambled so we asked a waiter for poached eggs- as the menu states you can choose your eggs cooked any style. He went off to order these and we had to ask again after 10mins, and when they did arrive we had almost finished our breakfast and the waiter tipped them onto our plates from a height very unceremoniously! Although we complained to the restaurant staff no apology from a manager was made. On check out we spoke to the reception staff who were as usual wonderful and apologetic and removed the price from our bill. It did however spoil our visit and I hope the lowry rectify this as it would affect our decision to return again.
