A great hotel and a fab bed shame about the viewPosted Nov 18, 2013
I have stayed here a number of times and always find the rooms super comfy! Love the beds. The only criticism is the view classed as " city view" - not great considering I paid hundreds of pounds for one night.

50TH BIRTHDAY TREAT!Posted Oct 28, 2013
Pros: GOOD SERVICE AT ALL TIMES, ROOMS QUIET, HOTEL CAR PARK WAS £15 PER 24 HOURS - REASONABLE FOR SUCH A CENTRAL SPOT.
Cons: VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT THERE WAS NO FREE WI-FI! BOTTLED BEER NOT CHILLED ENOUGH. NO TEA/COFFEE AVAILABLE IN ROOM.
Location: NOT THE EASIEST HOTEL TO FIND - FIRST SIGN FOR 'THE LOWRY' SENT US INTO A PUBLIC CAR PARK! VERY CENTRAL, JUST OFF DEANSGATE.
'PUSHED THE BOAT OUT' TO TREAT MY WIFE (WHO IS A MANCHESTER LASS) ON HER 50TH BIRTHDAY AND STAYED FOR TWO NIGHTS. DOORMAN PARKED OUR CAR ON ARRIVAL AND OUR BAGS WERE SWIFTLY TAKEN TO OUR ROOM AS WE CHECKED IN. WE HAD BOOKED A ROOM WITH A 'CITY VIEW' BUT FOUND OURSELVES LOOKING OUT OVER A BIG PUBLIC CAR PARK! THIS WAS RESOLVED WITHIN HALF AN HOUR AND WE CHANGED ROOMS. DID NOT HAVE DINNER IN THE HOTEL BUT THE BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT AND SERVED UNTIL 10.30AM. ON WEEKDAYS.

Excellent Hotel with many luxuriesPosted Oct 26, 2013
Pros: The cleanliness and size of the bedroom.
Cons: nothing comes to mind at the moment
Location: a lot of great stores nearby for shopping, a lot of places to eat and meet people.
Excellent staff all around from the front desk to the spa services, lots of space in your room, great view from your room, and everything you could want in a hotel room.

Five Star service but hotel lacks characterPosted Oct 22, 2013
Pros: Attentive staff and lovely room.
Cons: Air conditioning and internet charges.
Location: Centrally located and good access for shopping and other attractions e.g. the people's history museum
Nice welcome from friendly staff. The room was spacious and very comfortable but too warm. Air condition was noisey, making it difficult to sleep. You can't open the window for fresh air. The cheapest cost for access to the internet is £15 which seem poor value for money.

Lowry expensePosted Oct 12, 2013
Hotel very good and at normal pricing pretty faultless. However, when charged excessive room charges due to town being busy, it isn't good value. It isn't special enough for these scandalous rates.

The only hotel to stay at in ManchesterPosted Oct 3, 2013
Pros: The Staff! The Staff! The Staff! from the doorman on arrival, check-in, bar, restaurant, breakfast, they all remembered my name.
Cons: I have thought long and hard about this one, and unfortunately I could not come up with anything to improve The Lowery
Location: Great location! Canal views, and 5 minutes walk from the best shopping in Manchester, on par with Rodeo Drive Beverly Hills & Bond Street London
I stayed in a different hotel the night before in Manchester, and over the years have stayed in 3-4 different hotels in Manchester. and being from London have stayed in many London hotels. the Lowrey is simply the `Best` I could not fault it, from arrival to departure!

Leonard Cohen experiencePosted Sep 3, 2013
Pros: Everything (except the view at the front) - river view is far better
Cons: The view which could be tricky as you'd have to demolish around six blocks of flats!
Location: Great location, near to everything you could want to do in a buzzing city centre
We were attending the Leonard Cohen concert at the Arena that night and who should be staying at the hotel but the great man himself and his magnificent band. That tells you how good The Lowry is! Very impressed by the room, service, food and staff.

Amazing hotel in a great location!Posted Aug 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
I've stayed in many hotels across the world and can truly say that this hotel stands out. Yes, the hotel is very stylish and our room was large but me it was the outstanding service that would make me return every time! Nothing was too much trouble and any request was handled immediately. This hotel stands out from the rest - keep doing what you're doing!!
