One Of My Favorites in the WorldPosted May 18, 2015
Pros: Staff, restaurant, spaciousness, location, amenities and distance to train station.
Cons: I would not have changed one thing about this hotel.
Location: Close to the Coronation Street tour, downtown, on Canal street and completely walkable to about anything you want to do.
I love, love, love this hotel. The room we stayed in (406) is a loft suite on the top with wonderful skylights. It was chocked full of amenities that they replenished every day. The bathrooms were immaculate, the room was extremely clean and they had air conditioning! We could actually set the temperature to the comfort of the room. The desk staff is very friendly, accommodating and helpful when you ask them any questions. The restaurant is cute and quaint and we enjoyed our breakfast down there every morning. The hotel is very well located to nightlife and you don't have to walk far to get a pint. We traveled around England for a week and this was our last two nights there and they were magical. This was by far the best hotel we stayed in all week.

City centre hotel, near to the gay scene.Posted May 17, 2015
Pros: Decor, service and unusual interior design
Location: In the centre of the gay village and close to everything else.
Easy to find and parking outside or in several car parks nearby. Quirky decor, but very nice. great friendly service Overall far better than I expected.

lovely hotel but...Posted May 11, 2015
Great location nr the station, town, the northern quarter etc. Lovely reception by the staff who checked me in early. The only downside that it is situated next to GAY and in Saturday night the beat and music from the club was audible until about 8am. I didn't mind it too much until about 5am onwards..., so just bear that in mind.

Stayed there for 2 days. I had an awesome time!Posted Apr 26, 2015
I stayed at this small hotel for a couple of days. It is much better than it looks on the outside. It is right on Canal St. Perfect location for a good night out, great restaurants, and walking distance from Piccadilly Gardens, Piccadilly Train Station and many others in the city centre. The room is one of the most stunning I've ever stayed in. Perfect for a romantic getaway. But I wish they had a 24 hour room service for food. It might be much needed after a late good night out.

Perfect, but..Posted Feb 25, 2015 on Hotels.com
Perfect, very friendly staff. High quality fittings, but.. the toilet broke and we were shifted rooms in the middle of the night due to a problem with the toilet system keeping filling up and emptying. For the price paid for the suite we would expect everything to be perfect so was a little disappointed not to receive some sort of discount for the discomfort.

Great location. Can't sleep. Won't sleepPosted Feb 24, 2015 on Hotels.com
Decent hotel. For location, its right in the middle of everything - couldn't be easier to walk around from here. Hotel room was ok. My negative feedback is that once the novelty has ended, the least you should expect is a good nights sleep. We didn't get this because the room was too hot. The aircon works but made a loud noise so we were replacing one problem with another. It's a shame. I might have thought differently in the morning - as you do after a good nights sleep. :-(

Velvet HotelPosted Feb 18, 2015 on Hotels.com
Great service from the hotel! The only faults are that it wasn't sparkling clean ansd we were kept up all night by noise in Reception, people coming in and out ect... so Iwould suggest not to stay on the same floor as reception!

fantastic.Posted Feb 4, 2015 on Hotels.com
The hotel, service and room were fantastic (although the wallpaper in room 12 is a little creepy). We left our bags until check in time. When we returned the bags were in the room and they brought a trey of ice and milk etc. We went out for the evening and they turned over the room, which we weren't expecting. The bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom very tidy. The room overlooked a back road or something and the air conditioning output (this may not be what it was) was right outside the window so it was a bit noisy through the night and kept waking us up. Other than this it was great and I'd love to stay again but in a different room not overlooking the back.
