“Stayed 4 days.”

Everyone associated with the hotel treated us extremely well. The manager even came into the room to help me figure out the microwave and offered to let us keep our frozen stuff in their freezer. The next time we stayed there our room had a freezer. Some do, some don't.

“Fairfield Inn”

All the hotels in town had such horrible ratings, and I'm not sure why. My room was clean, the continental breakfast was perfectly fine. My only (very minor) issue with it would be that it was winter and I would've liked to have more blankets and an actual comforter rather than jacking the heater up really high.

“Manhattan's best overnight location”

The only flaws in this otherwise totally satisfactory experience were (1) the roadway construction that awkwardly impeded access to the hotel's front door and (2) the fact that I couldn't get the local Manhattan newspaper in the lobby. From a walkability standpoint, this is the best-situated hotel in Manhattan. The downtown Mall and its attendant neighborhood restaurants and shops (not to mention the public library) are all within a few easy blocks of the hotel's front door.

“Nice place”

Under renovation when we were there, but even so, we were comfortable. We were on the 2nd floor and there was foot noise every now and then, even after 11 but it was not to the point where we needed to call the desk. Would recommend this place. Very accomodating staff.
