Beautifully refurbished, the Plaza lived up to expectations. Brilliantly located on corner of Central Park South, just at 5th Ave Subway stop. Our room was spotless, very comfortable and probably the quietest hotel room we'd ever slept in - no disturbances from other guests or noise from the streets below. (We were on the 18th Floor.) Generous and good-quality toiletries, well-proportioned bathroom with separate shower room.
Staff always happy to help, but discreet.
We only ate once in the hotel - in the Todd English restaurant. Food was really good, but we had to sit at the counter, as there's not a very big seating area. Good variety of options in the Food Hall, and lively atmosphere.
We'd definitely consider another visit - which is rare for us as we prefer trying new places.
Would certainly recommend it.

"The hotel was a perfect location for my meeting."
I am not a New Yorker and not familiar with the City but the hotel was located within walking distance of my meeting on Broadway and its close proximity to Little Italy allowed me to walk instead of getting into a cab; great fun and exercise.
My hotel room door was not shut all the way one afternoon; anyone could have walked in. The maid staff needs to pay more attention to this.

As an author I visit NYC often on speaking tours. I've stayed at the Marriott on Lexington, the Waldorf Astoria and most recently the One UN. You cannot beat the views and the comfort of the hotel. My only issue is the restaurant never seems to be open when I needed it to be and the breakfast was ridiculously overpriced. There are diners around the corner which are reasonable. Other then that, I liked the hotel.
