This section of 37th ST does not look impressive and there is construction across the street from the hotel that adds to the congestion. That's it. Everything else was positive! From the Front desk to the personnel attending the dining area and the housekeeping crew, ALL were personable and attentive. The hotel is either brand new or recently overhauled and it is kept clean. Our room should be in some architectural or design magazine. How they got a king size be bed, pull out couch, closet, sink, stove, microwave, tiny table that unfolds to a small dining table, desk, etc into a very small room without seeming crowded, I don't know - but they did it and made it look good!
The street may not look great, but the location is fantastic. We walked to everything we did in Time Square/Theatre district and were 2 blocks away from Penn Station. All this, with better rates (notice I didn't say cheap, nothing is cheap in Manhattan) than others around it.

By far, the best hotel experience I've had in NYC. Having been to NYC for pleasure and business many times, I thoroughly enjoyed staying in Tribeca. Slower pace, tons to do within walking distance. New 9/11 memorial is an absolute must; worth every bit of the $24 admission. Tip: Give yourself at least 2-3 hours to take in the entire museum plus fountain area. It's done so tastefully and thoroughly, you don't want to rush through it. Make sure to walk the path that runs along the Hudson...beautiful with lots of excellent photo opportunities. Great food choices nearby (Shake Shack is an absolute must, no matter how high-end your food tastes are). Skip El Vez...decent service, but food wasn't that great. The nearby BBQ place was alright, but is not the same thing as BBQ from the south. Many other restaurant choices nearby though which was so convenient and tasty. Concierge service at Conrad was fantastic; the fellows were super helpful and friendly. Hotel room was very clean and really nice; loved the shower (multiple jets and huge)! City Hall and Chambers street subway stations were within a 10 minute walk. I will try and stay at this hotel every time I go up there from now on...really an excellent value for the money.

The room was small with a king bed, but comfortable because it if very close to manhattan chinatown. There was no fridge or microwave, so it limits the room to overnight stay only. That didn't present a problem because that was the purpose of our stay. The breakfast was very good, and there were fruits in the lobby if you had a night time craving.
