Wanted a hotel within walking distance of the tourist sites plus the hop-on-hop-off buses and this was a perfect location. Considering it was our first time to New York City, I felt this was an ideal location plus the hotel was very nice and the staff was outstanding.

My wife and I made a quick one night trip to NYC to see the Rockettes Christmas show and needed a reasonably priced hotel nearby. The Crowne Plaza was a great choice with newly updated rooms and a great location.

A bit pricey (but isn't everything in NYC?) ... small ... besides those everything else is fantastic. 5 min walk from Times Square but it's on a quiet (relatively) street so late at night you may occasionally hear a truck zooming by, but the rest of the time it's quite (Last time we stayed at the Hilton next to New Amsterdam Theater and got a headache from the noise for days afterward). The room is small but very clean (they have house keeping only once a week though) with a kitchen, frig, etc. everything for a long stay. Definitely come back to this hotel!
Oh, they got free laundry on the basement, that's a huge plus!

I appreciated the hospitality and aid of the hotel staff when needed washcloths and bars of soap. Of all the people I tipped and they didn't fully deserve it, this is one case where I wish I did tip to show my appreciation.
