The staff were very friendly and helpful. Amy at the reception desk was great. Turned a possibly annoying delay checking in into a very positive outcome. Handled the situation with professionalism and poise.
The location is fantastic. Just steps to all the best shops and restaurants and bars.

I stayed two nights at the Affinia Shelburne for business. I have never stayed in the Murray Hill area of NYC near Grand Central Station before (I usually stay high 50s on the West Side). This area was so much more convenient. With Grand Central nearby it couldn't have been easier to get to everywhere I needed to go in Manhattan (and I had to go to Queens for one meeting and that was easy too). The hotel was very comfortable, the staff was friendly and they even offered complimentary wine from 5-6pm in the lobby every evening. The lobby has a living room feel to it, unlike most hotel lobbies, so that ended up being very relaxing. It all felt so much more homey than the chain hotels where I usually stay. I will also note that the wifi was lightening fast. I will definitely stay there my next trip to NY.

"Beautifully decorated room in excellent location"
We stayed for 6 nights at the Affinia and we were really impressed, couldn't have wished for anything better. We only ate there on one occasion due to our very busy schedule, that was breakfast on the morning of our departure. We opted for the buffet breakfast which was all-you-can-eat for $20 which we thought was great value compared to other places in NYC. We would definitely recommend this hotel especially as it is right outside Penn Station which with a Metro Card (weekly cost $30) gave us easy access to the whole of New York City.
