“not a great area except close to US Embassy”
The breakfast buffet was a disappointment --the restaurant menu was low on selection and high on price not nearly as good an area as Makati, but is close to US Embassy. The room safe did not work and was not fixed as promised not sure I would stay there again
“Quality hotel at budget price'”
It was all good
“I would surely go back, it's just amazing....”
I was in the hotel last September 20 to 22, 2011, i find the hotel itself and its staff very good, the food in the morning was superb...aside from its near the Ermita church its just across the US embassy....plus the fact that the safety is very good also coz just right when u get out of the hotel there is a police outpost that has several policemen on duty....Godspeed and keep aiming for the best service in town..:)
“Worst hotel ever”
This is the worst hotel ever. There was a typhoon and their generator went out. We were in the 8th floor and never once did they check up on us. There was no power and water. When we finally got down to the lobby the staff were asleep and assumed we left the hotel. How can we? We were stuck in the 8th floor.b4 they had no emergency lights in the hallways. It was horrible experience and the staff and management didnt seem to care and just had a blank stare on their faces. Dont go thru what we went through. Save yourself the trouble. Dont stay at bayview!!!!!
“Value for Money”
Although this hotel is old it is comfortable, clean & well maintained. Location on Roxas Blvd with Manila Bay views is excellent. Buffet breakfast adequate but hardly exciting. It is always hard to assess comments made by other reviewers without knowing the price they paid. It is true that you only get what you pay for and value is in the eye of the beholder. In my opinion the price we paid via Expedia made this hotel very good value for money. Staff service was first class We will stay there again.
“great location & buffet in the morning you can't complain...nice people there too!”
great buffet & near to park, shopping mall,& restaurants...didn't get to the pool since it rained but got around rather easily walking...
“Will probably stay there again.”
The staff were extremely courteous and helpful. Any questions were answered as best that they could. I found the location of the hotel superb for easy acess to any location.
“Convenience and Simplicity at Your Best”
My sister and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff speak English well enough and they work efficiently. There are only two elevators and elevator 2 is a little scary. The rooms are simple but are clean. My sister and I left our most valuable items in the safe however, the staff never touch nor took anything in the drawers. The staff really work hard to meet the requests of the guests. From utensils to a weight scale, they met our requests. The breakfast buffet provides a diverse enough menu and you can request for special orders at no cost. The only thing that really irked my sister and me is that we could access the Wi-Fi in the Wi-Fi zone. By and by, there is Starbucks connected to the hotel (cheaper than any other Starbucks I've been to). Take a few more steps and cross the road and you find yourself at Yellow Cab for some pizza and pasta. Laundry services are expensive because they charge by the garment. Take a two-minute walk to Del Pilar Street and you will find a Launder service. Two large loads cost my sister and me only $6.19 and it was ready the next day.
“Adequate accommodations for the price”
This is a decent triple star hotel. The location is great with plenty to do and see in the immediate neighborhood. Proximity to other attractions and activities such as the Mall of Asia and NAIA is good. Staff are generally good, although not stellar by any means.....what you would expect from a three star I suppose. When we checked in, the young lady behind the counter insisted on referring to my wife as my "companion," in spite of me correcting her a couple of times. The room was mediocre, but an adequate value for the price. The carpet was old, and the bathroom looked tired. The bed was comfortable, however, and the sheets were clean. There is a safe for storing valuables in the room. Hotel staff would knock on the door several times a day for a "room check." When we were in the room, I would refuse in spite of their persistence. They purportedly wanted to check the mini bar. This was annoying and unbelievable. The complimentary breakfast buffet was simple, but enough variety was present to satisfy both me and my wife. The coffee shop was nicely decorated and had a pleasant atmosphere. The staff were friendly and eager to please. Overall, the value received was commesurate with the price paid. We will likely stay there again.
“Bayview Park Hotel”
Its satisfactory for an overnight stay for flight layover. Very convinient location for any US Embassy business and not too far for shopping from the Mall of Asia. Free Wi-Fi connection is signal is too weak for extended use. TV remote does not work...video/entertainment needs upgrade.
