“Good location,good security”
Location is very good, security is excellent, slighly outdated rooms, but clean, and price is right for hotel of this type. Food is expesive but a lot of places to eat around for the fraction of hotel's prices.Night entertainment with live music. For this location I would recommend this hotel
“Berjaya Manila Hotel”
Good for a 3 star hotel as it is on the newer side. Slightly above average rooms, clean facilities and friendly service. On Makati Ave. so there is ample night activity with restaurants, bars, and tourist girlie bars in the immediate vicinity. The location allows for a short cab ride to the Financial District, the main Makati shopping mall at Greenbelt/Glorietta and the upscale mall at Rockwell. Was perfect for a quick overnight stay before heading out for the countryside.
“Pretty good hotel in its price range”
The room was simple, but clean and pretty comfortable. Air conditioning was efficient and reasonably quiet. Moderate street noise and a bit more than expected noise from adjacent rooms. Unlimited WiFi in the room is a great convenience. The overall service was pretty good.
“very good value”
i have been to this hotel several times in the past year and it meets and exceeds my expectations. it is a very good value.
“Berjaya Manila Hotel Review”
Stayed here two weeks, and was very comfortable. Only thing I would change is the size of the hot water tank. It was too small for a long hot shower. Other than that it was a fabulous hotel. They made me feel very comfortable. Even called me by name when coming in to the hotel towards the end of the visit. Overall I highly recommend this hotel.
“hotel staff trainees not properly supervided”
need to train staff for better serv ice.
“Okay for the price”
Okay for the price. Makati Ave used be an upscale business district now turned into red light district of Makati “Burgos St”. Several 24 hours restaurants / fast food, banks and stores with in walking distance, McDonald, Pizza Hut, Wendy’s, Shakey’s Pizza, convenient stores 7-11, drug stores, Café’, Dry cleaning service, Antel Mall- you will find no problem dining at 3:00 AM in this area. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly including the security guards at the entrance door. If you need a taxi let the security guard know that you want it to pay by meter only otherwise chances are taxi driver will try to take an advantage of you. Airport taxi by meter should not cost you more than 250 Pesos. Don’t expect too much out of this hotel- Okay place to sleep and rest try getting a room at the higher floor to avoid the rush hour traffic noise. Rooms are good size with a firm mattress, bathroom lack of amentias, low water pressure, beatup old towels. Not a place for family vacation .
“If you like noise, this is the place to stay!”
I paid for my fiance to stay at this hotel. Beside not being able to sleep due to all the noise in the surrounding neighborhood, the management was incredibly heartless. We were not informed of a mandatory deposit prior to staying there. Once my fiance paid her deposit she was almost out of money and had three days left. She had no food (the buffett is $400.00 pecos). I called the hotel and informed them that she was without food and could they be kind enough to allow her some of the deposit back. they emphatically said "no!" I sent her money via Western Union and she left early, asking if she might be able to receive a refund for the night not there. Again, they emphatically said "No!' This hotel is under new ownership and I would strongly recommend finding another hotel nearby for your stay!
“Because they try”
Berjaya Hotel in the Makati section of Manila is one of the best places I've ever stayed, I think because it seems that everyone who works there really tries to do their best. I had a problem with WiFi, so they gave me my own router. The refrigerator wasn't cold enough, so they gave me a new one. I needed room cleaning at odd hours because of my schedule-no problem. One call, and immediate satisfaction. I had heard that everyone there was almost annoyingly pleasant, but these people really do seem to care. They remembered my name and circumstances, like it all mattered. I'm coming back, and I'll stay here again.
“Good Enough”
The hotel is located along Makati Avenue which although appears to be a primary route, is heavely travelled and therefore very slow movement along the way. Air conditioning seemed inefficient. The rooms are well kept however and bedding is comfortable. It is not located near train stations but taxis are abundant in the area, although you might find it a bit challenging to find one willing to go with a straight meter rate. There are 24-hour restaurants within walking distance-mostly fast food. Service was fair. Hotel is generally well-kept. Rooms are clean and relatively comfortable. Convenience depends on your purpose. Neigbhorhood is typical of other areas in Makati or Manila. I may consider this hotel again if it suits my purpose.
