Good business hotel

Good business hotel, located in the heart of Makati. Very conveniently located, right across from the Greenbelt Mall. A pretty stock standard, but good business hotel, with quality rooms. However the bathroom was not up to the standard of most comparable new hotels around the world. Security is very prominent, with several guards on duty 24 hours a day. Main criticism is the obscene price for food and beverages at the hotel, when compared to everywhere else in the neighbourhood.

Six star treatment!!

Everything was such a great experience with this hotel! The staff, the rooms, the food. Great personalized service from start to end. Location is great, cross the street to any shopping, dining and a $3.00 cab ride to the other hot places for nightlife. I'll definitely check back in.

Nice hotel

Pros: Cleanliness, accommodating staff
Cons: Add a bath soap or an extra shower gel in the room. For 2 people, a small bottle of shower gel isn't enough.
Location: Walking distance to shopping and dining. Go to Greenbelt 4 (1st or 2nd floor) for dining.
This hotel is pretty new, maybe about 2 yrs. Hotel staff are nice. A/C in lobby wasn't working suring our stay so it was warm downstairs but comfortably cool in the rooms and hallway. Mike, whose job keeps him at the basement (hotel has underground entry to Landmark) was always personable and helpful, considering the not so comfortable environment he has to work in. Wanted to give him a present for being such an excellent employee but he was off on our last day of stay. He is an asset to the company. People like him makes Fairmont a place worth staying. My husband and I hope he gets recognized for being a great employee and person.

Excellent hotel near the heart of everything...

Fairmont Makati is an excellent hotel, located in the heart of the Makati City shopping district. Once you walk out the door of the hotel, there is shopping in every direction. There's an endless number of restaurants and clubs, ranging from the inexpensive to the extravagant. The hotel kitchen does a great job of providing many delicious meals, local and foreign. The staff is top-notch. When I decided I needed a larger room, the staff made the move effortless for me and my guest. All we did was walk to the other room. The staff took care of everything else. The rooms are beautifully appointed with comfortable furniture and all the electrical hook ups/outlets needed in this world of internet connectivity. The hotel is spotless! One of the cleanest I've stayed in. The hotel is also very quiet. I never heard any disturbing noise from outside construction or neighboring hotel guests. I complained that the hot water in the shower didn't stay hot long enough. I didn't run out of hot water again during the rest of my stay. The entire staff is awesome! This was my second stay at the Fairmont Makati. I love this hotel.

It is located near Greenbelt and is very convenient. The service is excellent. Do try to live on the 7th floor (Fairmont Gold). It's worth it.

Very Good Overall

Overall, it was a very good and restful stay! I was coming from an 18 hour journey from the US and wanted an overnight rest before I took a next day flight to the province. My expectations were gladly met. I came in very late in the evening and checked in without any hassles, was upgraded to a Deluxe corner room, and granted a late check out. Some minor complaints: 1. the coffee creamer had an expiration date 8 days earlier; 2. I had some reservations about the artwork along the hallways, they seem to look like murals or glorified graffiti. Besides these two "complaints," I found my stay very pleasant.
