VERY GOOD HOTEL FOR ITS PRICEPosted Dec 1, 2013
Pros: It is centrally located and the staff are excellent
Cons: The rooms in the front of the hotel overlooking Roxas Boulevard should have double-glazed window to reduce traffic noise.
Location: The hotel is well located in Malate with easy access to all types of transport.
The hotel is well-priced and facilities are very good. The only problem I had was that the en-suite room I booked overlooked a main traffic avenue and it had no double-glazed windows, so there was unbearable traffic noise, so much so, that I opted for a cheaper room which was quieter at the back of the hotel. Otherwise my stay was very pleasant, and the staff is well-trained. The breakfast offered by the hotel is excellent. So is the room-service food.

Worth the price.Posted Oct 18, 2013
Pros: The strong signal from the free WIFI in room; room service food was very good; easy to catch a taxi.
Cons: Better TV in the living room.
Location: Right on Roxas boulevard overlooking the bay; easy walk to restaurants close by.
A good location; easy check in; very good staff. I'll stay at this hotel again next time I'm in Manila.

Noisy HotelPosted Oct 11, 2013
Pros: The food at breakfast and the room cleanliness. The staff are nice. The view from my room.
Cons: Curtains that close!
Location: It's not safe to walk at night . Mall of Asia is the best thing.
All is not what it seems. The photo of the hotel is misleading. The front is nothing like this. Inside was very pleasant but again curtains don't close in the rooms so at night there is always light. Oh and it's a very noisy street.

Stayed her before Corregidor Island tourPosted Oct 8, 2013
Pros: Convenient location for our trip
Cons: Chair in the room
We (3 couples in our group) are pretty ordinary people from the US so we weren't all about a fancy smancy high brow hotel. But we thought this one was quite nice. We drove up from southern Luzon to take the Corregidor Island tour the next day. This hotel was located close to the Sun Cruise terminal so we booked online. The staff very friendly and helpful. They parked our car out front, took care of the luggage. Room was v clean, AC cold, hot shower/tub. Small tv but didn't matter to us, no time to waste on TV! Would have been nice to have a chair in the room. Lobby was nice. We went to Mall of Asia, about 100P taxi ride from hotel. Breakfast definitely has a Filipino bent but it was good. Had a good night sleep.

Good hotelPosted Jul 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
The problem I had with this hotel was finding it. Every taxi driver I talked to didn't know where this hotel was located because they never heard of it. I hired a driver to take me to the hotel to check in and he couldn't find it. The sign is not visible from Roxas Blvd and even the "G Hotel" sign itself is not very clear. I had to call the front desk to give me directions and we finally found it. Other than that, the stay was excellent. The check-in process was very fast. It took about 1-2 minutes since I already pre-paid but when compared to other hotels, I'm usually waiting for over 15 minutes even after pre-paying. The room was fabulous as it had 2 flat screen TV's in the bedroom & dining room, a dining table for 4 with plates and utensils, sofa with coffee table, 2 balconies, fridge, sink to wash dishes, weighing scale and 2 closets with safe. I could even leave the aircon and lights on when I leave my room. The breakfast buffet was fine except for some foods that tasted stale which were not heated. Taxis are easy to find from outside the hotel. The hotel was not very busy with lots of people which is fine for me. The free wifi connection in my room was slow and I stopped using it altogether. Overall I was satisfied with my stay.

Good location, great service, but a little datedPosted Apr 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
Good location, within walking distance of Rizal Park, Manila Cathedral and US Embassy. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and security is up to the task. The only negative is that the rooms are a little dated, some new furniture and a paint job would go a long way.

Unpleasant surprise but still enjoyablePosted Apr 9, 2013
Pros: Breakfast buffet and friendly staff that remembered me
Cons: Noisy air conditioner
Location: Very nice view of sunsets over Manila Bay- quiet place even with construction nearby
This was my fourth stay at G Hotel. It was my worst stay there- but still above other hotels I have visited (BSA Suites and Aloha for example) and I will continue to return to G Hotel on future stays. The room shocked me a bit because the air conditioner was noisy, rattling and I did not have a balcony. Upon thinking on it a bit I realized I had not requested a balcony and I rarely used it anyway, so I gave the hotel a break on that. By my second day I noticed the air conditioner had been fixed and after enjoying my breakfast (really talented cooks- a superb breakfast buffet in any country) I started to warm back up to the friendliness and courtesy of the staff- some of whom are still there and remember me from my first visit in 2008. This is well located. I enjoyed morning walks to Our Lady of Remedios Church (Old Malate Church) for morning services and then I walk to Robinson's Mall for shopping before returning and meeting friends. There is laundry nearby, money changer and two 24-hour shops (7-11 and MiniMart), a Chow King around the corner and Aristocrat and Max's (where I entertained friends). It is about 70 pesos to take a taxi to Mall of Asia from the G Hotel.
