“Wow, it's THAT Bad! Bring shoes to wear inside room.”
For a supposed 2-3 star hotel... it's NOT. I'd give it one star at best. For the price, I could have stayed a week in many of the other "cheap hotels" ... I definitely don't recommend. The curtains looked like they'd been used as a firing squad practice range, and the carpets looked like the hotel had been a murder scene. The breakfast was the only slightly redeeming part in the sense that it was edible, but I wouldn't go much further. The staff is nice, but it's the Philippines so you'll find that staff is nice even in the grossest hotels. It seems strange that the lobby is on floor 9 (parking garage floor 1-8), and so when you enter the hotel, every time it takes 5-10 minutes for one of the elevators to pick you up on the ground floor. The neighborhood is full of people sleeping in the streets... not a safety issue but it's certainly not a desirable area. Getting a cab to\from this area is a big challenge, so allow yourself a half an hour if you need to get one. I stayed here once before, and it wasn't AS bad as this whole experience, so I thought I'd give it another chance. This was the last time I'll be staying here. For the same cost, you can do much better, and not have to tolerate the grossness.
“Affordable”
Our overall say was nice and very friendly employees. The morning breakfast was included with the price and was very good, the showers I can't say much for.... and the bathroom sink cabinets are old and need replacing. I say all hotels need to change their pillows, for some reason, they are all too hard for me personally. Overall, I liked the hotel!
““HORRIBLE, NASTY, HOLE- IN- THE- WALL!””
“HORRIBLE, NASTY, HOLE- IN- THE- WALL!” Three star hotel?! This is far from being a three star hotel. The picture Expedia displays is completely different then the room That was presented to me. The room was dark dirty and was not even Completely painted. When I tried to connect to the internet the wireless Access point was three floors below me. I tried to connect via RJ45 (cable connection) still no luck. I called the front desk only to find out there was a charge, but if you look on Expedia’s website is clearly informs one that the internet is free. After arguing for 20minutes with management they agreed to provide me with free internet. When they called there local Network Administrator he didn’t know how to turn on the port on the switch. When management discovered this they decided to move me and girlfriend to a different room. Good Right? No! I moved to five different rooms each room on a different floor, and every room the internet didn’t work, and conditions of the room worsen. After being moved around so much I decided to leave. When questioning management it proved fruitless! Guys, do your self a favor If in Philippines book with a four or five star hotel.
“Manila quick stay”
It was last minute booking. I've found good price on expedia and went to check the place before booking. Location was good, in the center of the city and I asked recePtion to give me price same as shown on expedia. But they couldn't. So luckily there is free wifi in the lobby, quite fast. I've booked online and checked in right away. Don't forget umbrella when going out in Manila - raining season :)
“Fees, endless imagination”
Spend extra time to search the hotel extra fees. If you got time request to send you an e-mail detailing all fees, specially not advertised
“Hotel”
The surrounding area stinks
“Great Customer Service - Please replace the carpet.”
Overall the staff is very helpful and the location is good for Malate very close to the rail station. The area is a little bit sketchy especially at night. The room was VERY large and overall it was okay. The carpets are in really bad need to be replaced that was probably my least favorite about the hotel. Also the furniture was quite old but that didn't really bother me. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Overall for the price it's an okay deal.
“Hotel is ok for the money”
Overall, I was satisfied with my stay. Although it needs new carpeting and drapes.
“get what you pay for”
three star hotel, dont expect a room that you see in the pictures advertised online. free breakfast was fine, pool seemed nice and clean ( though i didnt swim in it) never had my room made up in the two days i was there. actually dont even recall seeing a cleaning cart at all on my floor. You get what you pay for
“dark, bare, uncomfortable”
Dark room, no where to sit besides the bed and small chair at the desk, extremely dim lighting in room making it impossible to even read or look in your luggage at night, all the walls bare. I will not return to this hotel again
