“Amazing Experience in Manila”

My wife and I were fortunate enough to earn free round-trip airfare through Hawaiian Airlines from Honolulu to Manila. Despite the zero cost of the airfare, we were very skeptical on whether or not to actually take advantage of the award. A key factor in our decision was the opportunity to stay in the Manila Peninsula. Although neither of us had every stayed in this property, I was familiar with the Hong Kong property and set my hopes high. The Peninsula lived up to its billing as one of the finest hotels in Manila, if not all of Asia. The elegance of this hotel is only surpassed by unending drive that the entire staff demonstrates in ensuring they meet and surpass your expectations. We stayed in a "Deluxe" room on the 8th floor, which was very comfortable and had a wonderful view of downtown Manila. It was clean, well furnished, and quiet. The bathroom was over-sized with a large bath and separate shower, which featured an adjustable shower head (I'm 6'3") and water pressure to spare. One of the best features of this hotel is its exceptional lobby and lobby bar/restaurant. The live classical ensemble playing from the mezzanine (which they did every night) and the remarkable staff in the lobby bar and all of the restaurants for that matter sealed our decision to target a return to the Manila Peninsula next year. We couldn't recommend this hotel any higher and WILL stay there again.

“They really made me feel important”

I liked everything about this hotel. I felt appreciated, too. I had a medical problem flair up during a week long stay and the staff jumped through hoops to care for me. The facilities are beautiful and well maintained, the staff superb without being omnipresent, and the choices of food delicious. Try their Tomato soup. Most importantly, I felt I received the right value for the costs. If you see my other reviews, then you know I don't gush. So trust me on this one. You'll like it.

I have been traveling to Manila for 25 years and used to stay at the peninsula until the makati Shangri la opened.I decided to try the manila pen again since they had a great rate on expedia.i It was a great visit and glad that I did......it felt like going home after a long stay away......loved my stay.
