Manistique is Show more a beautiful harbor town on Lake Michigan, just 88 miles from the Mackinaw Bridge, it is centrally located to many Upper Peninsula attractions and outdoor recreation. This area enjoys warmer temperatures than much of the Upper Peninsula, thanks to Lake Michigan. Just down Highway 2, a Boardwalk goes along the shoreline for almost 2 miles that offers easy access to the beautiful views of Lake Michigan. “well maintained, spotless, older facility--- out of town”

This is an older facility with parking immediately in front of the room. The facility is maintained excellently and the room was spotlessly clean. It is a bit out-of-town, but the owner is the manager and takes pride in years of Budget Host Service and Excellence Awards. Reasonably priced, yet with all the basics in place for a comfortable evening. It is short on luxury(queen sized beds,19"TV, rehabed original bathroom space), but it is superior for an independently owned and operated facility.

“Mixed review”

This hotel was easy to find, and newly renovated. It was super clean, but the bed was very hard. So, if you like a hard bed, this is the hotel for you. If they had more comfortable beds I'd recommend it to everyone.

Area recommendations
Oh the owner recommended a restaurant on Hwy 2 that was great! It served home cooking and everyone was friendly. Three Seasons! It was great!

“comfortable”

Hotel was comfortable and staff was friendly. Our room was right next to the office but was still very quiet. Towels and bedding were very nice for a small hotel like this. coffee and danishes were supplied in the morning.

Area recommendations
Visit Kitch-iti-kipi or the the big spring, a small beautiful state park area with the added bonus of a gift shop with ice cream for hot days.
What to pack
bug spray, sunscreen, camera and windshield washer fluid and an extra rag to scrub the insane amount of bugs off your car if you drive at night!
