staycationPosted Dec 4, 2014
Stayed overnight for family fun in the pool and hot tub. Both pool and hot tub were at perfect temperature and clean. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Staff was great, we ordered pizza for the family and it arrived while we were still in the pool and staff opened the breakfast room for us to use. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Only negative is the flooring around the pool and spa, it is very rough and hard on your feet. Bring sandals.

Would be nice if it had an elevator. Otherwise was fine, clean and quiet.

Helpful staffPosted Oct 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
There was an issue with my room, but the staff not only cared for it promptly, they also gave me a significant discount on my next stay. Overall, the facilities, staff, comfort all met my expectations and needs. Breakfast just so-so.

Good location for college drop offPosted Sep 4, 2014 on Hotels.com
Didn't like the fact that it was so close to MSU. But with that said there was a lot of eating options close by. Breakfast was a disappointment, biscuit & gravy for breakfast was the only warm option every day, other than a sweet waffle. Between me and my daughter we created 12-15 pieces of plastic garbage after every breakfast, just gross. The beds and the 100% cotton sheets were amazing!

Family reunion.Posted Sep 3, 2014
We have a annual reunion in Minnesota. It is in various places and this year we chose to stay in Mankato. The amenities in this hotel are somewhat limited for the price and its main attraction is that it is located on the MSU campus, which was not our reason for being there. For an overnite stay it is adequate. We stayed for three nights and that was too long for this motel. No elevator for senond floor. Difficult for older people to get to second floor. We had our daughter and grandkids staying with us. We reserved a "DELUXE" suite for the extra room and found the room was the same size and had the same features as the others except it had a big piece of furniture which actually made the room smaller. Don't pay extra for the deluxe. Bathrooms are small with the stool and tub in the same room with a door. No bathroom vents!! This became an issue during the stay. Switch on the wall there, but didn't work. The same in other rooms. (We had family in other rooms too) Breakfast was limited and the same fare every day except powdered eggs and sausage on last day. We won't stay here again.

Nice family nightPosted Aug 31, 2014
Nice facility. Room was clean but the bathroom smelled like a men's locker room! The kids enjoyed the pool and we also ate the breakfast that had all the normal choices.

The hotel was reasonably clean, the staff was pleasant and helpful, and the location is very convenient to MSU Mankato (my destination). The room rate was very reasonable (albeit offseason), and I would definitely stay here again.
