Great location. Couples retreat

Posted Aug 12, 2014
I went to this hotel because a cousin of mine told me to consider staying here. I went with my wife and we had a blast going back-and-forth to barra de navidad was a lot of fun and it was a really romantic atmosphere. Great seafood around town only beat by maybe mazatlan!!!

Nice hotel with great views and golf.

Posted May 14, 2014
Pros: Great rooms, and great views make this a great place to stay. Short little shuttle boat to Barra makes it simple to see the sights there.
Cons: Keeping Antonios open and getting the Barra attractions back to the way they were before the hurricane
Location: 27 holes of great golf
I have stayed here many times, and the hotel is 5 star without a doubt. Disappointing when Antonio's is not open for dinner. Wish they would keep it open at least into the middle of May.

Great gateway

Posted May 13, 2014
Pros: Everything, I wish I can stay longer and have a round of golf, but we went fishing a catch a big sailfish.
Cons: Signs on the road.
Location: Go to Fortino's restaurant just outside the property, seafood is fresh and with great flavor, and the services awesome.
We went to celebrate my father's 70 birth day. The resort was almost empty, we got a great deal with breakfast included, and instead of buffet, it was a la carte, since wasn't worth to set a buffet for few people. All place was exactly as in the pictures, the beds were perfect, not to soft nor firm. Service was excellent from bellman, to weiters, and they offer a night courtesy with a chocolate coin. My only suggestion is to put bigger sings to get to the resort, starting from the highway, and all the way inside the property.

Very nice hotel for a romantic getaway

Posted May 7, 2014
This hotel is very good on its own (installations, food, etc), however it is its staff that makes it shine even more. I travel very often for business and pleasure and I can definitely say this is the best hotel I've stayed at this year, hands down, I definitely recommend it. As a young gay couple in this part of Mexico, I wasn't sure what to expect, however I was pleasently surprised,

Beautiful hotel, beautiful location

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: The cleanliness, the hospitality, the ambiance. This is very much a family hotel.
Cons: The poolside restaurant is not very efficient.
Location: The location is fantastic. Barra de Navadad is a fun town to visit.
We had a wonderful overnight experience at the Grand Isla Navadad Hotel. The staff are very gracious.

Beautiful but flawed

Posted Mar 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is beautiful and well maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful, BUT reservations for a specific class of room are ignored, and the beautiful pool and many of the rooms are drowned in amplified rock music most of the day.
