Nice hotel with great views and golf.

Posted May 14, 2014
Pros: Great rooms, and great views make this a great place to stay. Short little shuttle boat to Barra makes it simple to see the sights there.
Cons: Keeping Antonios open and getting the Barra attractions back to the way they were before the hurricane
Location: 27 holes of great golf
I have stayed here many times, and the hotel is 5 star without a doubt. Disappointing when Antonio's is not open for dinner. Wish they would keep it open at least into the middle of May.

Great gateway

Posted May 13, 2014
Pros: Everything, I wish I can stay longer and have a round of golf, but we went fishing a catch a big sailfish.
Cons: Signs on the road.
Location: Go to Fortino's restaurant just outside the property, seafood is fresh and with great flavor, and the services awesome.
We went to celebrate my father's 70 birth day. The resort was almost empty, we got a great deal with breakfast included, and instead of buffet, it was a la carte, since wasn't worth to set a buffet for few people. All place was exactly as in the pictures, the beds were perfect, not to soft nor firm. Service was excellent from bellman, to weiters, and they offer a night courtesy with a chocolate coin. My only suggestion is to put bigger sings to get to the resort, starting from the highway, and all the way inside the property.

Very nice hotel for a romantic getaway

Posted May 7, 2014
This hotel is very good on its own (installations, food, etc), however it is its staff that makes it shine even more. I travel very often for business and pleasure and I can definitely say this is the best hotel I've stayed at this year, hands down, I definitely recommend it. As a young gay couple in this part of Mexico, I wasn't sure what to expect, however I was pleasently surprised,

Beautiful hotel, beautiful location

Pros: The cleanliness, the hospitality, the ambiance. This is very much a family hotel.
Cons: The poolside restaurant is not very efficient.
Location: The location is fantastic. Barra de Navadad is a fun town to visit.
We had a wonderful overnight experience at the Grand Isla Navadad Hotel. The staff are very gracious.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting.

Posted Feb 28, 2014
Location: An inexpensive water taxi will take you to the little town of Barra de Navidad with little shops and restaurants
The staff was friendly and courteous. The pools are nice and well maintained. We enjoyed some of the complimentary activities, such as yoga, zoomba, and waterarobics.

Everything meets expectations

Posted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: No disappointments
Cons: Everything as expected.
Location: Short water taxi ride to small town of Barra de Navidad and then a short bus ride to the village of Melaque. Both centers filled with Winter Snowbird
Checked into hotel as I wanted a certain level of luxury, and at the same time wanted to be able to visit friends who were wintering in Melaque. No disappointments with the Hotel and it was certainly a good choice if you wish 5 star type accomodations in this area of Mexico. I do plan to stay here again.

Beautiful hotel, great staff

The Grand Bay is a beautiful hotel, with lovely grounds in a gorgeous location. There is a skiff available 24 hours to take you to Barra de Navidad which is a lovely little town across the lagoon. The main pool is fun and the hotel and grounds are very clean. The margaritas are tasty and strong.

Very good choice

Posted Feb 14, 2014
Pros: Relaxing
Cons: Nothing we could notice
Location: Out of the way. It is more of a destination than a location.
It is an immaculate property. Breakfast and lunch were wonderful buffets, dinner buffet was good but not as wonderful as the other two. We were there for one nite so we need longer to really judge.
