It was all right - should probably be cheaper due to location and parking lot construction. Walls arent exactly thick, either. Not bad though; probably best for one person business stay.

The best part of the trip...

Pros: The room was nicely set up, clean and quiet.
Location: Facility is within walking distance of 3M campus.
As far as business trips go, this was one of the roughest yet; I couldn't wait to get to the hotel to recover from the sojourn. My hotel accommodations were warm and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable, staff were very helpful and accommodating. I have already made recommendations to colleagues and intend to visit again in the future.

Beautiful Lakeview :)

Pros: How beautiful and well kept the room, lobby and hallway were. Also how cheap the price was for what you get.
Cons: Have the ice machine working, give out warning calls if someone is being a little loud , and faster front desk service.
Location: Denny's, Green mill, Sun ray area down the street that includes: Cub-foods, TJ Max, dollar store, Clovers, Ho Ho's and lots more. Wood-bury area also.
My experience was very lovely. When we walked through the doors, they had a very nice lobby. The place wasn't far from where I lived, so we found it in no time. The staff was friendly but they were a little bit slow with getting people checked in. Once we got to our room and opened our door, it was totally beautiful, it looks exactly like the pics online and even better. Our view was of the lake, our bed was a king, and it was super soft and had a crisp white down feather comforter. The mattress had a pillow top, and we did not want to get out of the bed. There was butter finger chocolate on our bed which we enjoyed. A huge flat screen TV, marble counter top with a fridge and microwave and a comfy leather recliner chair. The blinds were so pretty and the carpet was cool. The only downfall I had, was that the bathroom was very small but I did like that the sink area was separate from the toilet and shower. The price was low for how beautiful everything was. It was worth every penny. Since they do not have free breakfast, there is a Denny's in the same parking lot, which is very convenient. We did want ice and the machine was broken the whole time we were there, which kinda sucked. We were kinda loud at one point, they do not give warnings they just kick people out, which I feel warnings should be given first, but I do apologize for disturbing the peace. I highly recommend this place even if you aren't on a budget, it is wonderful and you will enjoy your stay.

LivInn Hotel in Maplewood, MN

Pros: Price.
Cons: Hallways are dark. Better lighting. Bathrooms need updating.
Location: Near 3M Headquarters, right on the interstate. Not much to do but relatively close to where we were golfing at Oak Marsh Golf Course.
Hotel was average but well priced. View from window of a lake. Across from 3M Headquarters. Breakfast restaurant next door.

Suitable

Pros: Comfortable bed. Staff. Close proximity to where family live. I travel alone and I always feel safe.
Cons: Update room and resurface parking lot.
Suitable for the amount of time which I spent in the motel. The room is beginning to show its age and could stand an update. The bathtub had two sets of three holes above the end opposite the shower head which looked like a bar had been attached at some time. The shower head would not stay aimed in the middle, instead it aimed toward the back wall. The first night I had trouble getting anything other than lukewarm water in which to shower. The bed was very comfortable and I slept very well. Over several years I have stayed there and always find the staff be be very courteous, helpful and efficient. It is close to my family which is why I have chosen to stay there.

3 day get away

Pros: quite, no loud noise, didn't stink. Overall good place.
Cons: Mirror in bedroom, because if someone is using bathroom you could still fix hair and get ready.
Location: Mega Mall, Parks. What ever you like. Easy access.
Bedding was clean and all white, very nice, room was quiet for sleeping. This was a pillow top mattress, however it was very firm, so firm that the person in bed next to you did not feel you move from side to side. No movement in mattress. Pillows were hard. I tend to like things a little more softer. However it was nice place. No mirror in the bedroom, only in bathroom, no fan in bathroom mirror fogged up when taking shower. Nice tv, air conditioning was great, had an elevator to take luggage up to room. Coffee in room, was good. Toilet backed up, but was fixed right away. Small, but nice, clean, quite place to stay. Pricing was reasonable. No breakfast, had to eat at Denny's next door, open 24/7. Bathroom is really small, only one person can be in at a time. No mirror in the bedroom. Need one.

The room is very clean and nice. I enjoyed and I will definitely go back again if I am traveling into St. Paul. The hotel doesn't have breakfast service unfortunately.

They threw all my belongings away!!

Checked in for a 3 night stay... Paid up front for all 3 days. After the first evening I left my room at around 11:00 am and did not return until after 10:00 pm only to find my room door completely open and all my personal belongings had been "thrown away" because they cleaned my room as tho I was a "check out". Management did refund one night and allowed me to cancell my third evening however NO EFFORT was made to track down my belongings. Horrible experience and will NEVER stay at a LivInn again!
