Bedbugs!!! Be aware!!! We stayed for 4 nights and started to see bite marks on legs and arms and found bloody trail on sheets. Stay at your own risks!

This is a unique property. We loved it. The decor is beautifully Parisian, the manageress' are lovely and very helpful. It is in a great area and is excellent value. It is surrounded by restaurants and independent shops selling all sorts of interesting items. The transport links are good too although we were able to walk to pretty much anywhere in the city centre. We hope to return there in the future.

Loved it. Proximity to cafes was superb. Adorable balcony with a view to the square. Very nice staff, very friendly. Downsides: no bath soap (dispenser in tub very unattractive and looked like a public WC), shampoo, conditioner; hairdryer very uncomfortable to use. No elevator to the ground floor. If you are unable to walk without assistance this is a problem.

A nice unique hotel with great staff!
Overall we had a nice stay. All the staff were super nice and helpful. The rooms are a little small(but it is a hotel from the 1800’s). There’s only 20 some rooms, so it feels more like a bed and breakfast. The showers are very small and the hot water seems to run out fairly quick. The location is great! Walking distance to some of the main tourist spots. To us, this side of Paris was so much better then the side close to the Eiffel Tower. The metro was one block away. Plenty of restaurants right next to the hotel to pick from. If you drive, there’s a underground parking structure right across the street. To receive the hotel discount at the parking lot, you must leave your car there the whole time. If you leave daily with the car, you have to pay the daily rates. If you’re sticking to just Paris, you can easily leave your car and take public transportation.

Older hotel but very nice. Room was small but bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is excellent. The restaurants downstairs in the court-yard like area were noisy. Easy to use the Metro. The AC worked very well.

The Hotel de Nice is a gem in the heart of Paris. The location on the Rue de Rivoli is unbelievably central, yet the hotel is quiet and calm within. The rooms are relatively small, but clean and well-appointed. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast (10 euros) is well worth it, delicious croissants and tartines served in a beautiful dining room. I'd highly recommend this hotel for a stay in the Marais.

Convenient location and easy to find on the edge of The Marais district. The hotel is opposite an open square and tourist office and next to all the exciting goings on of the Marais area. The room was a good size and comfortable but do ask for a room very high up as the traffic noise can be an issue. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Great interior decor and in a vibrant area with restaurants and bars open late. It felt like a safe area and while not the quietest the windows worked well to keep the noise to a minimum and our sleep was not disturbed. Would definitely stay there again.

Great find in the heart of the city!
I loved the location of the hotel. It was clean and comfortable, and the decor was super cute and kitschy. Friendly staff spoke English and let me check in early. Highly recommend for the traveler looking to be close to everything and eating more than basic but not luxury accommodations.

Loved loved loved this 100+ yr old hotel. Modern stuff... Like a.c. that was super cold and ab elevator made it so easy to enjoy quaintness of the facility. The Location is PERFECT... For getting to landmarks. For food. For nightlife as it overlooks a square w live music once a week.

Location is terrific. Everything else, not quite. Old, worn out and stained rugs, Dark, depressing atmosphere, free wifi not functioning and indifferent staff. There are better choices.

Charming old hotel, well located
This old hotel is very conveniently located and both staff members could not have been more helpful. They spoke very good English too. The rooms are small but charming. Bathroom is clean and functional. Our room looked over a restaurant but we couldn’t hear any noise. Fast WiFi. The sitting room (pictured is not to be missed.

Not Quirky or Parisian - Just awful !
I am amazed that this hotel has such good reviews.The room shown on Hotels.com was NOT the room we were actually given (Room 10). It was on floor 3 (have to ask for gain lift access). Reception service very hit and miss. We wish we had complained about the room at the time. It was an awful room, very small and with terrible bedding, and up several stairs (you have to ask for access to the lift). Please see my 2 photos. When others have described the hotel as quirky or parisian this doesnt cover the fact that the hotel is very worn and quite shabby. We stayed there for 2 nights from 9-10 September. We were so glad to leave.
