"Paris made Perfect"
I had been researching hotels since the beginning of the year and I first sorted to those that are highly rated on Expedia. What stood out for me were the traveler reviews and the location of the hotel. When we arrived the entrance to the hotel was warm, inviting and impressive. I felt like we had discovered a hidden, unknown treasure within the city. The room 72 that was assigned to us was a spacious two floor loft that felt like we were staying in an apartment for the week. Great layout and loved the ability to open the windows and hear the sounds of Les Marais and the Place des Vosges filling the room. I took a nap to the sounds of a Parisian opera singer outside entertaining nearby guests on the Place and on another day could hear an accordion playing. I felt connected to the city in a unique and special way. The hotel staff was warm, welcoming and consistently willing to help when approached. I would easily stay here again.

"A hotel with great attitude in the Marais."
I found the Hotel duetit Moulin on Expedia when I needed to stay one night in Paris while waiting for my family to arrive and until we moved into an apartment. It couldn't have been been nicer. I will look for a reason to come back to stay there again.

"Close to center of town"
The hotel is a block away from the Hotel De Ville, meaning it is very close to the heart of downtown Paris. Notre Dame is a 5 minute walk away. In other words, very centrally located. The hotel is a bit hard to find; Rue des Archives is short and the hotel has only a single small door sized awning. This is not unusual for Paris however, Americans might expect hotels to have more of a curb presence. The facilities themselves were good, it's an old hotel and quaint in some respects. The relatively few AC outlets were offset by modern new bathroom fixings and a nice TV and a large very comfortable bed. There is a safe in the closet for storing your passport and other valuables, which gave some peace of mind.

Pocket Guide: Marais - Pompidou - Notre Dame de Paris, Paris Boutique Hotels

A beguiling mix of art and architecture, the revitalised Beaubourg and Marais districts are home to Paris’ Jewish community and a thriving gay scene. Attractions include the Pompidou Centre, Place des Vosges (Paris’ oldest square), the Picasso museum, Notre-Dame cathedral and bijou Ile-St-Louis. Stalls selling birds, flowers and books line the banks of the Seine. Village St-Paul is good for antique-hunting. The area is best explored on foot.
