We had a late arrival, which we noted on reservation, yet we had to find someone to check us in. Left to find room by ourselves in the dark with winding paths and flight of stairs towing luggage. Bed was comfy. Ants in bathroom. Other service staff very friendly. Beach area clean but very small, waves are strong and is next to local fish market sale. Beach outside of fenced resort area.

A little caution - but lots of contented guests

This hotel is very well loved by many people who come here annually. The price is right, the food is reasonably good, there are lots of staff members, it is warm, the pool is lovely to sit by or swim in. The swimming pool and grounds are nice. My own experience was fairly bad though. The first night they put me in a room that was in terrible condition and even getting back and forth to ask for things like a working air conditioner controller and a telephone late at night was difficult because there was no lighting and the paths were hard to discern. They subsequently volunteered to put me in a renovated room, which was fine. I was on a business trip and needed to be able to plug a computer in and use WIFI which was not an easy aspect at this particular location. I also found the limited hours for meals somewhat annoying and the quality of the wine that could be purchased by the glass, can only be described as foul. All in all - at best a 3, from my perspective but others find it much to their liking and if I was on vacation, I might too.
