Wouldn't stay againPosted Mar 22, 2014
I chose this hotel because its between Austin and Fredericksburg. The hotel needs remodeling. Beds and linens were old. Neither bed was very comfortable. Couch stained, I wouldn't sit on it. The location was good for being able to visit both cities. Not much to eat in Johnson City itself. A place to lay our heads for a couple nights.

over night is finePosted Mar 16, 2014
Pros: Proximity to our destinations.
This hotel was fine as an overnight stay. The clock was broken an the TV only had half the stations working. We called about the TV and were told someone would look into it, but nothing ever came of it.

A LITTLE IMPROVEMENT NEEDEDPosted Jun 10, 2013
Cons: Unmade bed and key card not working
We booked our room for two nights. The first night was fine. The second day we left the hotel for the whole day. When we got back to the room around 10 PM, the key card wouldn't work and the bed had not been re-made. There were clean towels, however, so I know the cleaning staff had been there. It was a little disappointing to have to crawl into an unmade bed and to have to go to the office to complain about the key cards not working.

Not fit for man or beastPosted Oct 30, 2012
The room smelled of urine. The deadbolt lock did not work. The carpet was filthy, as seen in the dark dirt on our white athletic socks. The stopper in the bathtub functioned poorly.

This motel needs updating to say the least...Posted Oct 22, 2012
Pros: The staff seemed friendly enough.
Cons: Decor, bed, bathroom, exterior. It reminded me of a truck stop. There were smokers everywhere.
Location: Depressing. There aren't many restaurant choices in Johnson City. I suggest driving 30 more minutes to Fredericksburg.
This motel needs updating to say the least. I loved the 80's...BUT seriously...they should ditch the (vintage) 80's carpet, drapes and bedding. It wasn't much better with the lights off--the bed was springy like a 60's cadillac suspension and extremely uncomfortable. I was depressed from check-in until check-out like Nicolas Cage in Leaving Las Vegas.

DisgustingPosted Nov 22, 2011
Pubic hairs in the bath tub, tampon wrapper also in the tub, something crusty on the bed spread, the list goes on. Utterly disgusting! Is there even a maid on staff?
