Nice B&BPosted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: It was very near to the coast and the restaurants. In a very beautiful garden setting.
Cons: I think the lighting in the room could be improved - particularly by the coffee maker.
Location: The location was superb.
We were a little surprised to find this was a B&B and not a hotel. However, Lise and Bob are a really lovely couple and made us feel very welcome.

Excellent stay in a historic townPosted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: House was lovely. Hosts accommodating.
Cons: House is a bit hard to find (down an alley off an alley). Guests should know that they have to call for directions once they reach town.
Location: Historic Marblehead with a walking tour. Salem is 5 miles away. Boston is 35-40 minutes away.
We stayed in this B & B in June, 2014. The home was lovely, with a huge yard. The hosts were pleasant and accommodating and offered sightseeing and dining suggestions. Breakfast and WiFi is included in your stay. Note that it is approximately 35-40 minutes into Boston by car. The town is very historic--many of the houses in the centre of town had plaques indicating the year they were built (1700's).

Great find!Posted Apr 23, 2014
Pros: All appropriate amenities are there. It is very clean. The owners are really friendly and accommodating. They made me feel like it was my home too. I
A very nice and well appointed place near the water and near a quaint location with a number of historic attractions (such as the original picture of "Spirit of 76"). Everything was there to make my stay a peaceful and enjoyable one.

quant little town, and beautiful heritage homePosted Nov 12, 2013
Pros: The B&B owners, so very friendly & helpful, the delicious muffins, and the comfy beds.
Location: Great location as this charming town is a close 10 min drive to Salem and a short trip to Boston.
So glad we found this little gem of a town and B & B. Wonderfully friendly, cozy, with so much charm. Thank you for the great stay!

wonderful bed and breakfastPosted Nov 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
The location was the only concern, it's tucked away in the neighborhood. The owners( Lisa and Bob) were friendly, inviting, and really nice to talk with. They gave great advice about taking a taxi into Salem, instead of trying to park there. the room made you feel at home, and the house was beautiful.

Friendly owners butPosted Oct 31, 2013
Pros: Quite and a home
Cons: If not en suite then at least a bathroom solely for the room
Location: Handy for Salem and very interesting museum in Marblehead
Liked the idea of being in the owners house but room was drap and no en suite, big problem. Bathroom particularly had owners effects inside. Nice lounge and owners very friendly and welcoming. Difficult to find and certainly over priced ICE LONGand

Not worth the price - SHARED BATHPosted Oct 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
On the hotels.com site and the Harbor Gardens site, it never spells out that you will be sharing a bathroom. We shared the bathroom with at least three other people, possibly more since the owners' personal effects were in there too, such as hairbrushes and dirty clothes on one night. The build-up of hair in the bathtub and on the floor over the few days we were there was just gross. The room we stayed in smelled like dog and scented candles, though I never saw a dog in the house. The walls of the house are paper thin, so you hear every conversation going on at any time of the day or night. There is no way to secure your valuables or even lock your room. This guest room in these people's house is just one step above couch surfing. The people that own and live in this house are very nice, but I feel like this was false advertising about the bathroom and this house not really being a true bed and breakfast experience. I definitely would not have paid this much if I had known what it would have been like.

Fantastic servicePosted Oct 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
Generally excellent, especially the breakfasts, which were the best we had in our holiday in New England (8 hotels) The only minor point was a slight musty smell in the room
