Great Location close to Margaret River.Posted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: Loved the nice quiet location, just out of Margaret River, but still close to beaches and wineries.
Lovely stay at this lovely B & B set amongst the forest. Rooms and bathrooms were lovely and large and the little outdoor paved area was a bonus. Breakfast was beautiful, we did not bother to order the cooked breakfast as the included continental breakfast covered everything.

Loved Loaring Place B & BPosted Aug 21, 2013
Pros: Tranquil surroundings, beautiful room, relaxing in the spa and the delicious breakfast
Location: Set in the bush but within a short drive of both the beach and town of Margaret River and many wineries.
Wonderful location. We saw wildflowers and kangaroos came and grazed on the lawn. Many birds. Room was beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. Our bathroom was large, stocked with large fluffy towels and bathrobes and the spa bath was superb. Mine hosts Dirk and Pam were very helpful and knowledgeable and their breakfasts quite delicious. I would stay there again.

Peaceful sleep and friendly ownerPosted Aug 12, 2013
Although we stayed only 1 night at this hotel, we love it here. The room is very clean and the bed is very comfortable. The room has garden view so we woke up to fresh morning air with nice view. The owner is very friendly and check in is a breeze. The hotel is outside of the town but just a short drive away. It's better because we had a quiet night and peaceful sleep.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Loaring Place. The ambience in the forest was lovely, the room was comfortable and clean and the host most friendly and helpful.

A Curate's Egg (Good - in Parts)Posted Dec 21, 2011
Pros: Location and range of facilities.
Cons: Lack of welcome and the 'give-us-your-money-and-go' attitude. An unusually poor example of the normally amazing West Australian hospitality.
Location: Far enough from the town to be rural, close enough to local places of interest.
We visited Loaring Place as part of a tour of South West WA, it had everything advertised, an amazing spa bath and comfy bed. Our problem was a complete lack of warmth from the owners. There was no guided tour on arrival. A water cooler was available in the lounge for filling the kettle for complementary tea & coffee, the owner's wife amusedly watched us fill the kettle from our room without pointing out the cooler which we noticed under a cloth later. The Guests' scruffy fridge with comp' milk etc was in a scruffy store and was adorned with warnings about paying or not for items taken. The family dog is a friendly wee thing - but we did not approve of it following us into our room (identified by a bit of paper thumbtacked to the door) when we were being shown the room. Breakfast was served outdoors in amazing surroundings but was not what was ordered and no chance to comment was offered, more coffee was an inconvenience. We would recommend the resort to people staying a few days who would get to know the ropes. Basically everything was there - if you could find it. Value was poor, due to being in the very popular Margaret River area, and the opportunity to charge top dollar.
