“Romantic retreat”

We spent 3 days in late November and loved it. Lovely location if you enjoy watching yachts and want a small, quiet venue or a romantic vacation. The restaurant meals were beautifully presented, delicious, and served by friendly staff. The dive shop provided snorkeling equipment and the bay provides a nice safe spot for swimming or kyaking. Our major disappointment was that rain rendered the bay unsuitable for snorkeling, and the attached dive shop had no Sunday trips. However, staff helped us arrange a fun water taxi south to a shop that did. Our delux room was rather cramped, but it had a lovely 4 poster bed and a balcony overlooking the bay. We found lots to do, enjoyed every minute, and hope to return.

“beautiful little spot w/ a wonderful view!”

we truly enjoyed our stay at marigot beach club and dive resort, our room was just the perfect size for the 2 of us who had planned a vacation full of activities etc away from the room. The balcony and view was absolutely beautiful. The menu at doolittle's was nice and they had a differant lunch/dinner special every day that was not over priced but actually very reasonable compared to some of the other restaurants we tried while we were there-we had tried all the restaurants in the bay except one and they were so, so and usually found our way back to doolittles where at least we could get a breeze! The rest of the bay restaurants were tucked pretty far back into the bay and it seemed as if there wasnt any air and you basically just wanted to eat and leave because you were so hot(tho we did go during the off season in july). Doolittle's was refreshing and for the time we traveled seemed to be where everyone else flocked to even if they were staying somewhere else. We enjoyed the staff and management team and the owner had a dear charm all his own. We will return.

“Best Property, Exceptional Service”

I had a very trying business trip in the Islands and the owner and staff at the Marigot Beach Club made all the stress go away. The personalized service was exceptional and they were friendly and very accommodating to my business needs. I have stay at other upscale St. Lucian properties but none is better than Marigot Bay.

“Marigot Beach Club”

Just came back from a trip to St. Lucia. Spent 2 night there, was going to be 3, but our flight got pushed back. We wish we could of have had the 3rd night. The people at the hotel were all really nice and made our stay as comfortable. Guys at the bar were great and would definitely go back. Yes it's a older hotle. But the food prices were better than Rodney bay and we couldn't complain at all. Marina had supermarket, bakery, and bank. Honestly if you're looking to relax and have better access to mid island trips, Peton's. This place was great and my fiance was very very happy in the deluxe beachfront studio. We came from San Diego and were very happy to stay here.

“Excellent setting, good people.”

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, we hit a few snags when we arrived but everything was fixed by the next morning. Marigot Bay is truly beautiful, accommodation at the cheaper prices is basic but satisfactory. Higher end apartments are very nice indeed. Staff are friendly and helpful - plenty of choice for eating out in the bay and a small supermarket has just opened should you want to cook for yourself. Bank was not open whilst we were there but looked like it was going to be ready very soon. Getting around is easy with a very efficient land taxi service and plenty of people willing to take you up to the more touristy spots or down to the better beaches. Can be expensive for 1 or 2 people, but groups of 4 travel at almost half the price. Everything can be organized from the reception / office. Many things can just be added to your room bill including booking taxis and tours. Swimming pool is just for show. Local beach is small but pleasant, longer and better beaches are a short hop by boat away..

“Picturesque hotel in a beautiful bay -- full of sailboats”

Marigot Beach Resort is a smaller hotel with clean, beautiful, grounds & beach on one of the most beautiful bays in the Carribean. Over an hour from the airport, it is off the beaten path more intimate than the bigger resorts (which is what we wanted). The lower priced "Deluxe Beach Front Studio" is smaller and in the middle of the building, the higher priced units are on corners with twice the balcony space. The "Full Breakfast" was American style and deliscious. five other resturants ring the Bay, from very expensive to moderate, so there is plenty of opportunity to dine out. The water ferry will take you over for a nominal fee. A 10% service charge is added to all food bills so wait staff tends to be a bit languoruos. There's not much on St.Lucia beyond the beautiful mountainous rainforest. So go there to scuba, snorkel, dine, and sleep in the sun. The all-day sailboat trip to the volcano, waterfall, lunch, and snokeling is a bit of a tourist "cattle drive" -- I don't recomend it. but the less expensive "sunset champaigne cruise for two" is well worth the price.

“Nice, but not all that we hoped for.”

Great if you're on a boat and stop in to Doolittle's for a meal. We expected a more remote, lazy, quiet sort of place. We found the bay too busy and loud for our tastes. The bay was not good for snorkeling due to all the boat activity. There is much construction on the island and in Marigot Bay as they prepare for the 2007 Cricket World Cup. The bay was a bit far from the bus stop, requiring the use of taxis to get around, which added up to much extra expense that we hadn't planned on.

“DO NOT STAY HERE, HORRIBLE SERVICE, BAD ATTITUDES!”

HORRIBLE SERVICE at the Restaurant, Doolittles. They IGNORE you, when you get the bill, they give themselves a 10% tip! Only went there for 1 dinner, and 2 breakfasts. Go across the bay, to Hurricane Hole, JD's or Chateau Mygo, Excellent Service and food there. Never got the required amount of towels in room, bathroom door didn't close, bed and pillows hard as a Rock! Good thing we were out all day enjoying the island and not staying at this poorly run "resort". Reception Office closed on Sunday, isn't this a "resort" catering to travelers, not some stand on the side of the road? By The Way... it is FOR SALE. "BossMan" is asking way too much 11 million!
