Really nice

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness, comfortable bed, friendly staff.
Location: We were only here as a stop-over and didn't explore activities in the area.
We stayed here for one night on a road trip from Southern California up the coast to Portland. The property apparently is an old-style motel (parking outside the rooms) that has been completely redone. The room and bathroom were small by today's standards, and would not be suitable for any more than 2 people. The room had a nice little balcony overlooking the courtyard and that made the room seem larger. Bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom were immaculate. A full breakfast is provided, but it is in a restaurant a short distance away that isn't open in the mornings. It's a very easy walk, but it might be a little bit of hassle in bad weather. The breakfast was really good, providing both hot and cold options and fresh fruit. Also the restaurant gave plenty of seating, which can sometimes be a problem in other hotels. We didn't use the internet, so I can't comment on that.

Slightly Better than Average Hotel

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: Clean with a very comfortable bed. Staff was very helpful.
Cons: Noise top to bottom. If it was any louder I would have gone to the front desk and asked for another room.
Location: Restaurant next door. Location was near my corporate office.
This hotel was rated by Trivago as very good and by most standards, I would say so. It was very roomy and clean with nice amenities, in a nice area and conveniently located. Then the upstairs guests arrived. The hotel has two level guest rooms and it is noisy from the top floor. I did not care for that at all, since the room amenities were quite nice, it seemed quite odd. I could hear the guests above moving around, their mumbled conversation and their mumbled television. Glad I was tired and drifted off to sleep quickly.

This hotel was perfect for the one night we stayed there. It was clean and very quiet and the breakfast in the morning was perfect for our family.

Good family hotel

Pros: Loved the pool.
Cons: Needs elevators for the upper floors.
Location: Location is excellent. Close to shopping, restaurants and Book Passages, which is a fab book store.
My 10 year old and I stayed here for one night on a very hot day. He had so much fun in the pool and met some very nice people to play water basketball with. A nice feature in the pool is half of it is blocked off for lane swimming only. What a treat. You hardly ever see that. The room was large and had an extra sink in the main room, which was nice because the bathroom was quite small. Overall we enjoyed this place and would stay again.

Great retreat after expensive SF stay

Posted Aug 1, 2014
It's like stepping back a little in time. Complex grounds are the best - - shuffle board, large lap pool, small mini golf area, new outdoor fire place for evenings, basketball, table tennis - - all the old school things. Rooms are large and older and d├ęcor could use updating, but beds are comfortable. A great change from staying in SF for double the price. I'd definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

Central location in Marin County

Posted Aug 1, 2014
Pros: Complimentary hot breakfast and the lap swimming pool. Central location to the shopping malls and close proximity to the Golden Gate Bridge and Parks.
Cons: Need to have Bathroom towel hooks and a regular deep steam carpet cleaning to remove dark heavy carpet stains.
Location: Only 10 minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge and surrounding Parks.
A delightful Hotel that is centrally located in Marin County with easy access to the freeway, the Golden Gate Bridge and surrounding grounds, shopping mall and great restaurants. A great treat to have a complimentary hot breakfast in a Restaurant next to the Hotel. Enjoyed swimming in the lap pool and spa. The room was spacious with wonderful decor. Only two negative about the room; first would have liked to have towel hooks in the bathroom. Had to hang our wet towels on the back of the chairs. Second, the carpet had dark stains that needed a good deep steam carpet cleaning. Would definitely come back when we visit the Bay Area for a weekend retreat.

We were pleased with our room for the week we were there. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We had asked for a quiet room on the second floor and were put in a room in the back area away from the pool which is exactly what we wanted -- perfect for our needs on this trip as we were out sightseeing all day and wanted a quiet room to rest and sleep in at night. The continental breakfast was certainly sufficient with the usual choices. Several choices for restaurants are nearby. Very easy access to freeway. The bathroom exhaust fan in the room below us started making loud noises and we called the front desk. They responded immediately and went to the room and took care of the problem (not sure why the people in the room didn't call themselves since it was pretty loud). Overall, we were very pleased with the hotel and would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

Small

Small room. Tiny toilet. Free breakfast was poor quality. Easy access to major roads
