Nice hotel with all you need.

Posted Sep 30, 2014
Pros: Free afternoon drinks & breakfast
Cons: Freshen up the hotel with new paint colors.
Location: Marin County with Wine Country, Muir Woods, beach, and much more.
We stayed in four different hotels from LA to Santa Rosa and it was one of the best ones we stayed at. The others were very nice but the Embassy had it all.

Very nice hotel near Muir National Park

Room was clean and bedding very comfortable. Buffet breakfast included cooked to offer as well. Food was hot and fresh, best breakfast we had so far from hotel provided breakfast. We would stay here again when visiting San Francisco area.

Great for an extended stay.

Full breakfast buffet along with complimentary happy hour each day were a fantastic bonus over our extended stay. Staff was friendly & courteous. Location was excellent for sightseeing in San Francisco or visiting Wine Country. Will definitely consider this location for future visits.

San Rafael is a surprise

Posted Sep 17, 2014
Pros: Happy hour from 5:30- 7:30. Complimentary cocktails! Full breakfast.
Cons: perhaps change up the meat selection in the morning buffet. A girl can only eat so much bacon and sausage
Location: Close to San Francisco and 1 hour away from some great wineries.
We came for a Volleyball tournament and was pleasantly surprised to be able to go to some wonderful wineries one day and then go to Alcatraz the next. The weather was wonderful.

Not what we expected

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Cons: update your rooms. They're terrible! They're old and musty and grimy.
Location: Near SF., Muir Woods, the beach, Golden Gate Bridge. Golden Gate park w/ all the museums. Lots to see and do.
The staff is friendly and helpful when correcting errors on the bill and getting checked in and out. But the room was musty, dirty and uncomfortable. It felt like an old motel. The carpets and upholstery were old and stained. the shower was mildewed. The pillows were lumpy and the fold out bed was terrible. The lobby was pretty but the restaurant food tasted like paper. No flavor and nothing fresh or natural. There were charges on our bill we did not make and they held $200 extra from our account w/out informing us. But the lobby is nice and the people were friendly.

Vintage Embassy Suites

Posted Aug 31, 2014
Pros: Continental Breakfast, interior layout, cleanliness and staff.
Cons: Internet should be free in rooms.
The location of the hotel is great because you could walk to the Civic Center to feed the ducks or exercise. The parking lot is spacious and there is an indoor swimming pool at the hotel as well. You can also print out papers in the computer room and have a free continental breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful and the hotel is clean. The vintage interior layout is nice for pictures and/or to sit down to read or surf the net.

Great place to stay in central California

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Price. Large, clean rooms. Closeness to San Francisco, the beaches and Napa/Sonoma. Free breakfast.
Cons: The only thing we noticed was that the walls in the entire lobby area could really us a cleaning or some paint.
Location: This is a great alternative to staying in downtown San Francisco. About a twenty minute commute to downtown or a 40 minute commute to Napa/Sonoma.
We traveled the California coastline from San Diego to San Francisco and this was our last hotel. I had booked a king bed room as usual, and when we arrived we were told we had a two full bed room. This had also happened to us in Los Angeles at another Embassy Suites and they moved us to a king the following night for the rest of our stay there. We were very upset that it had happened again, so Lashawn, the employee at the desk when we arrived, made the change for us immediately so that we could have the room we expected for the full three nights. She explained that Expedia books the rooms and that the hotel has no control over what is booked even though I specifically requested a king room when I paid through Expedia. She recommended that we always call the hotel and request the room type through them, no matter how we book our rooms in the future. I will definitely take her advise from this point on.

Convenient for visiting bay

Posted Jul 25, 2014
Pros: The design, size of room and breakfast included
Cons: Access to Internet too expensive for just down loading emails. Should be free
Location: Ideal for exploring areas around the bay, access to ferries and the Napa Valley, especially as hotel north of the city
An interesting building with full height atrium complete with waterfall and vegetation made very pleasant entrance. Rooms were on four floors around the atrium. Room was large with seating area and separate bedroom. The breakfast was good with fresh cooked food if required. Staff were helpful and the free shuttle to Larkspur ferry a bonus.
